Porsche 992 - 2019 Onwards
The Classic Gear Knob from Function-First Performance is designed to reconnect drivers to their vehicles.
Factory gear knobs contribute to sloppy and vague gear changes due to their rubber and plastic construction. To remedy this, our Classic Gear Knob is machined from solid billet aluminum for a superior shifter feel, ensuring that all shifting effort is transferred to the gear lever.
The 2-inch diameter knob fits securely in the palm, with the circumferential cutout providing dexterity and enhancing grip. The base shaft is machined specifically to fit Porsche’s rectangular shift lever and attaches securely via high-hold set screws, entirely hidden from view with the standard height shaft. The OEM shift boot integrates seamlessly at the base for factory-like fit and finish. If your current shift knob setup has an integrated 1-piece shift knob/boot (pre-997 Porsche models), you can cut the boot off to use with the Classic Shift Knob.
Aluminium - machined from a solid billet and anodized, this knob offers added weight for less notchy shifts
Shift pattern engraving with paint-fill is also offered for an added OEM look.
PLEASE NOTE: Fitment is for Manual Transmission vehicles only. The OEM shift boot is shown for illustrative purposes and is not included.
Purchase price for the "CLASSIC SHIFT KNOB" includes only 1 shaft, 1 knob, and mounting hardware

The OEM shifter cables use large rubber ends to isolate the shifter from the transmission. These soak up your effort and numb the feedback and directness required for optimal shifting performance. The resultant sloppy gear engagement leaves the driver questioning if the desired gear is fully engaged.
This also leads to over-extension and stressing of the cables as the shift lever is pulled beyond the limit.
From a safety and reliability standpoint, the plastic snap-on cups also wear out over time and split causing the cable to pop off the transmission.
Our solution replaces the rubber and plastic internals of the OEM shifter cable ends with tightly toleranced aluminum and Delrin components, reliably held on with steel snap-rings.
Also, the included cotter pins provide a safety redundancy to ensure the cables stay securely affixed to the transmission. The result is excellent shifting feel, precision, and control with no added noise, vibration or harshness (NVH) and no chance for the cable ends to pop off.

Lackluster gear shift performance on many stock Porsches can be attributed to the cheap plastic bushings and pivot connections utilised in the shifter assembly. Because these bushings require loose tolerances and free play to not bind, they generate sloppy shifter feel. Moreover, their plastic and rubber construction flexes excessively which causes spongy gear engagement, especially on cars that have accumulated wear and tear over the years.
The Shift-Right solution replaces these plastic bushings with ball bearings, eliminating the flex and excess play that normally plagues the stock setup. As a result, shifter feel is sharpened and gears engage with certainty.
The Retrofit Kit is comprised of custom machined aluminum pieces and heavy-duty ball bearings to entirely upgrade the factory shifter assembly. Additionally, the tightly toleranced shifter yoke tightens up lateral shifter action.
The OEM cradle and gear lever are retained with this setup so that your shifter throw remains unchanged and the factory fit is preserved.
Compatible with the OEM shift knob and all OEM shifter units for 986 / 996 / 987 / 997

Engine mount bush insert kit. Porsche 987 gen 1 Boxster /Cayman
Fits:
Porsche 987.1 Boxster 2.7ltr - 2008 to 2008
Porsche 987.1 Boxster S 3.2/3.4ltr - 2008 to 2008
Porsche 987.1 Cayman 2.7ltr - 2006 to 2008
Porsche 987.1 Cayman S 3.4ltr - 2005 to 2008
Choose between three hardness levels:
1. Soft (60A) - Orange: For added performance and to restore and preserve your OEM mount with minimal noise, vibration and harshness (NVH)
2. Sport (70A) - Yellow: For tuned and sport-oriented performance street cars, with less noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) than track versions
3. Track (80A) - Black: For optimized performance on track and racecars where noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) is not a consideration
The OEM engine mount was designed for ride comfort and is prone to sagging and tearing but, above all, it is a detriment to performance. The empty voids in the bush allow for too much engine movement, resulting in sloppy handling, numbed responsiveness and imprecise shifting.
Racecars utilize a solid metal mount to mediate this but it is impractical for road use as it transfers extreme noise and vibration into the cabin.
So how do you achieve the benefits of a solid mount while retaining daily drivability? We offer the most effective and easy to install solution for the Porsche 987.1 Boxster and Cayman. The durable urethane rubber insert simply slips in to fill and fortify the empty voids of the OEM bush, preventing premature wear and undesirable engine movement, all while transmitting minimal added noise and vibration.
The result? Handling is taut and predictable, power delivery is immediate and smooth and gear changes are crisp and confident.
Installation can be completed in about 1.5-hours for the 987.
