KW HLS suspension system

KW HLS (Hydraulic Lift System)
helping sport cars avoid road clearance difficulties
Raises the vehicle up to 45 mm

The HLS provides additional road clearance for lowered vehicles. When expanded, a range of 30mm to 45mm of lift is produced, thereby helping sport cars avoid road clearance difficulties like speed bumps, road constructions etc.

Version HLS 2
HLS 2 which enables only the front axles to be lifted and lowered

Version HLS 4
HLS 4 covers both the front and rear axles of the vehicle

- For vehicles with with little road clearance
- Vehicle specific applications
- Activation of change in height by a small keychain transmitter
  avoiding the need to run additional wires through the vehicle
- Height changes can be done while the vehicle is moving, up to speeds of 80 km/h (50 mph)
- Automatically lowering of the vehicle
- With TÜV certificate
- Rubber bellows protect hydraulic cylinder, thereby providing long term durability.
The hydraulic cylinder unit is installed between the spring perch and spring. The pump unit is installed inside or near the spare wheel well. A programmable control unit processing the CAN Bus signal for speed control is also included in the kit.

HLS Kits are offered in 3 configurations:

1. HLS conversion kit with shorter springs to adapt to existing KW coilover
2. HLS conversion kit with lowering springs for OEM coilover kits.
3. Complete KW coilover kit with HLS adapted to it.

    The steering gear unit has to be inspected adjusted and replaced if necessary. Adjustments can be made to steering gear systems with wrench and screwdriver. Help can be taken from the service manual. In case of replacement, the steering wheel and column may need to be removed first. The manual has to be consulted as every car is different. The repaired steering system can be checked by taking a test drive.

    The car’s suspension system includes leaf springs, a stabilizer bar, a suspension arm, a shock absorber and/or MacPherson struts.
