Softronic ECU Flash Porsche 997 Carrera 3.6L 05-08

One of the most popular reflashes has been for the 997 Carrera. Customer feedback is always so proactive about how much the cars driveability is increased. Noticing the increased torque and pull to redline, customers always seem to be awaken with the Softronic flash for the 997 Carrera or Carrera S. As tested, the ECU flash gained both horsepower and torque on the 3.6L and 3.8L cars.

3.6L Base - 345BHP and 288ft/lbs

3.6L Tuned with Performance Muffler - 375BHP and 316ft/lbs

3.6L Tune Only - 362BHP and 304ft/lbs

Softronic flashes the 997 Carrera through the OBDII port of the car. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat or straight pipe exhaust systems, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the low end torque and throttle response will be much improved. The mid-range of the RPM band will feel stronger as well. The baseline test of our car with the exhaust shows the Porsche 997 C4S making 280awhp and 230ft/lbs of torque. With the car in sport mode, we made 290awhp and 244ft/lbs of torque. Without sport mode the car made 293awhp and 243ft/lbs of torque. The car will always make more torque and low end horsepower as the dyno graph shows because of how the sport feature works. It gives much faster throttle response and immediate power. With outside air temperatures at around 110F degrees and the dyno room temperatures at 105F degrees average, it is hard to really get a strong run. If the air temperature was around 70F degrees, this car would pick up another 10HP guaranteed.

Softronic ECU Flash Tuning Porsche 997 GT2

The 997 GT2 is a rear wheel drive version of the 997 Turbo on steriods. With a different intake plenum, modified turbos, more aggressive suspension, and lighter weight, this is purely an animal. The GT2 accelerates in 3.6 seconds to 60 miles per hour and has a maximum top speed of 204 mph. To take it 1 step further, Softronic can update the stocks ECU to gain another 90 horsepower.

Softronic ECU Flash Porsche 997 TT 2007-09

Like all before it, the 997 Turbo is an animal out of the box. With 480 horsepower to the crank and Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, this car is one to be scared of. But as with any other turbocharged car, there is more hidden inside it. With some adjustments to the boost level, timing, and air fuel ratio, Softronic can create a monster out of the stock 3.6L 997 Turbo. Our tests revealed a gain of almost 80hp to the crank. This ECU flash is for the 2007+ 997 Turbo.

DETAILS:
The EVC I-Drive is a device that increases or decreases the vehicles throttle response depending on the drivers choice.

The unit is programmable so can be used on either manual or automatic cars and has 4 modes.

ULTIMATE MODE – in this setting the throttle response is sped up compared to the factory settings and has a variable range from 0 to 9. This is ideal to deal with any throttle delay some modern vehicles suffer from with electronic throttle control.

ECON MODE – In this setting the throttle response is slowed down compared to factory settings and like ultimate mode has a variable range from 0 – 9.

ADAPTIVE MODE – In this mode the unit learns over time the drivers driving style and adapts the throttle response accordingly. For example if the driver normally drives with force on the throttle pedal the unit will learn this and allow a faster throttle response.

OFF – quite simply the unit doesn't affect the throttle response in this mode and reverts back to standard settings.

This unit works independently from any other modifications the vehicle has so can be fitted with or without any other tuning / economy products you may already have installed.
