Front and Rear QuickChange™ Blade Style Sway Bar System

Blade style adjustable sway bar (anti roll bar) system is the ultimate choice for performance and tuning. This superior-quality system delivers unique features and advantages that are without rival. It is simply the best.The blade style adjuster mechanism varies roll stiffness with the angle of the blade. Set it vertically for full-stiff, horizontal for full-soft, and intermediate angles for other stiffness levels.

Blade style adjustment offers advantages over traditional adjustable sway bars including faster adjustment and superior geometry.

The rear sway bars fit 66mm bolt spacing on the sway bar mounts as equipped on 1978-1989 911 cars. 1965-1977 cars can be upgraded to the later 66mm type mounts

Perfect Geometry

Fixed-length arms ensure the angle of the drop links are not changed with stiffness adjustment. Geometry and kinematic behavior is always perfect. The bar always rotates freely, with low-friction, and without binding in all adjustment positions.

Traditional sway bars adjust roll stiffness by changing the length of the lever arm, at the same time changing the angle of the drop link. This can cause poor force-transmission angles in some positions. The result can be binding, high-friction, and excessive load on the mounts to the chassis.

Fast and Easy Adjustment

No need to jack up the car or remove the wheels. Reach under the car, loosen one bolt to rotate the blade type adjuster. The angle of the blade defines the stiffness.
Literally about 1 minute to adjust, faster with practice.Infinitely variable adjustment lets you dial in the precise roll stiffness.

For track cars this fast-adjustment can be invaluable when time in the pits or paddock is short. Adjusting traditional sway bars is a lengthy process – jack up car, remove wheels, adjust, re-install wheels.

The light-weight hollow sway bars are half the weight of a 22mm solid bar with the same stiffness. They are fabricated from aircraft-quality 4130 chrome moly alloy steel and heat treated to maximize strength and reliability. Bearing blocks, drop links, and swaybar arms are CNC machined from aircraft-quality 6061-T6 aluminum for its high strength/weight ratio. Fully adjustable front and rear drop links to eliminate suspension preload. Correctly sized, precision, Teflon-lined rod-ends for smooth and quiet operation, long life, and high reliability. No wear and rattling problems, like those seen with other designs, due to undersized or low quality rod ends. All necessary hardware is provided in zinc plated metric class 8.8 The adjustable drop-link arm connection design provides an infinitely adjustable swaybar stiffness rate and makes it quick and easy to fine-tune your car's handling for various track conditions and driving styles. Thermoplastic bushings impregnated with Teflon and reinforced with Kevlar provide smooth operation, long life, and high resistance to deflecting under heavy loading. Superior ground clearance. Retro RSR Adjustable Sway Bar System

Retro appearance combined with modern performance and features make these adjustable sway bars (anti roll bar) a great choice for period-correct builds.

Drop links

Appearance similar to the RSR originals with a grey colour for a discreet and retro appearance. Left and right threaded precision rod ends make easy work of adjusting front drop link length. Adjustable length makes it easy to eliminate any preload on the bar. Teflon lined rod ends never require lubrication.

Lightweight

Hollow bars weigh half as much as similar solid bars delivering equal stiffness..
Bushings

Teflon impregnated bushings are grease and maintenance free and provide smooth operation and long life.

Through-body style front bar

Installs through the body same as the pre-1974 cars and the early turbo cars. Cars not originally equipped with a through-body sway bar should purchase the optional backer plate kit.

Retro-Look Arms

Steel arms are similar to the original RSR type and have drilled adjustment positions.

When installing many thru-body type front sway bars onto cars originally equipped with an under-body type sway bar. U tabs are welded to stock control arms in place of the 'loop' style bushing holders used on cars originally equipped with under body type front sway bars.

Elephant Racing Swaybar Mount Reinforcement Panels are precision laser-cut from18 gauge steel. They distribute the swaybar loads into the bulkhead and double-layer sheet metal just beyond the original single-layer hole location.

You may also be interested in an upgrade to Elephant Racing's QuickChange Blade Style Swaybar which mounts to the chassis using spherical bushings that articulate or "float" ensuring no binding. Spherical bushings allow mounts to automatically re-align themselves when the chassis is flexing under load. We believe this binding plays a significant role in the mount's failure.
