The New Porsche 935 That Everyone Is Talking About

By Tom on Friday, September 28, 2018

Considering how busy Porsche must be on the new 911 & Taycan, alongside planning for their electric future, who was expecting a brand new, track only project to drop in our laps? A modern-day spiritual successor of the 935/78 racecar this is yet another 70th birthday present from Porsche, to Porsche.

This car is available to 77 people for the wallet-busting £750,000, meaning that it is sure to draw a crowd at car shows and track days. It’s not designed for serious racing however, Porsche have said it’s “Geared towards club sports and private training on race tracks” making its uses fairly limited.

Inside it’s basically the current gen 911 GT2 RS with its 690bhp 3.8-litre twin turbo flat six engine driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK paddleshift gearbox. It’s outsides are quite obviously a different story alltogether thanks to its carbon-reinforced plastic body kit. The 935 even has LED lights incorporated just like Porsches Le Mans car.

The Martini livery is optional, but let’s be honest, there is only one way this car should look!
