<\/p>\nTaking photos of cars has been difficult due to the COVID-19 social distancing rules and with the showroom being closed, I have been very limited with sharing photos. In order still share content I have been visiting customer cars and this morning I went to see this beautiful 911 Carrera GTS. This is an absolute beast with a 3.0 L, twin turbo, flat-six engine that produces 450 hp at 6,500 rpm and 405 lb-ft of torque from 2,150 to 5,000 rpm. Huge fan of the black wheels with red brake callipers!<\/p>\n
The GTS has lots of performance parts that come as standard. This includes – standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which sits roughly 0.4 inches lower than a Carrera S. Its not stiff either, the lower ride height doesn’t render the GTS unless on city speed bumps, as at the end of the day it is a sports car design to be used day to day.<\/p>\n
Strapping on two turbochargers didn’t ruin the sound either of the six-cylinder engine. You will need to keep one eye on the speedometer unless you want a few speeding tickets. With 405 pound-feet torque to accompany that 450 hp, the engine pulls briskly at even the gentles application of throttle. The relatively small, light car is incedibly quick, with 60 mph arriving in just 3.4 seconds.<\/p>\n

The real treat is finding some bends in the road, because for all its changes over the years, the 911 manages to be as satisfying as ever. Today\u2019s 911 GTS is smoother, less nervous, more stable when you lift in turns, and easier to manage all-around, but the rear-mounted engine still makes it adorably easy to steer with the accelerator pedal. At the same time, the steering wheel tells you everything you want to know about the road and what\u2019s happening under the front tires. And with the aforementioned widened rear end, optimum traction is impressive, that\u2019s for sure.<\/p>\n
