Car seat design has evolved greatly over the years, starting with the classic bench seat, a design that incorporated a flat platform, and can fit 3 people with ease. There are very few cars out there today with bench seats as an option, one of these being the new Land Rover Defender.<\/p>\n

In sports cars, there tends to be one seat style that is perfect for a driver that wants to take their pride and enjoy to the limits, whether that be a spirited back road or setting a lap time on a track. The bucket seat has changed since its inception, from seats that don\u2019t even have a headrest, to body hugging carbon shells we see in cars like the GT2RS. For a while now, there has been one name in the seat industry that is regarded as one of the best, that being Recaro. Founded on the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0October 1906, the company was first known for building limo body\u2019s during the 1920s, and in 1949 they built the body for the 356, a car that put Porsche on the map. These seats feature distinctive 3-point seat belt passthroughs, comfortable lumbar support and they are made out of a lightweight Glass fibre shell, making these seats a massive weight reduction to the standard 993 seats.
