<\/p>\nPorsche has made very few true \u201csupercars\u201d over its lifetime. Sure, they have made cars that have dominated on the racetrack, but they have sold few models that have been mid-engine and have had the looks of a classic supercar, and this is one of those cars.<\/p>\n

The Carrera GT is one of the most loved Porsche models ever. The car has an engine that will never be seen in a modern car, a naturally aspirated V10 which makes 603Hp, the highest horsepower car the brand had made at the time. All this power goes through a manual transmission, meaning only the most skilled drivers could take the car to its limits. The car did have safety systems like traction control, but they were nowhere near as advanced as the systems we see in modern day cars, so you need to be alert at all times. And like most Porsches at the time, this power was sent to the rear wheels, which means the car could slide at a moment’s notice.<\/p>\n

The car was also known for having a rather stiff clutch, meaning it was difficult to use at low speeds, which made the car even more of a handful to drive.<\/p>\n
The CGT was most often seen in GT silver over ascot leather combination. This spec was stunning and is one of the main reasons the car has won over people\u2019s hearts and minds. This car has been spec\u2019d rather differently, however. It has been painted in dark blue metallic. This makes the car rather rare; therefore, it is more stunning than those common GT silver cars,<\/p>\n

However, the car was not always this colour. It was first delivered in Germany where it was painted in GT silver, but late 2020 all the body panels were stripped off the car and repainted into this stunning dark blue shade, and in my eyes, it is the perfect fit for one of Porsche’s only super cars.<\/p>\n
