710 HBF High Temperature Racing / Motorsport Brake Fluid 500ml

710 Racing brake fluid has been specifically formulated to provide the highest performance at the extreme temperatures experienced under race conditions. Suitable for racing or other higher performance vehicles, both on and off road, it also meets the performance requirements of the International FMVSS 116 DOT4 specification.

Dry Boiling Point ------ Exceeds 300deg C

Wet Boiling Point ------ Exceeds 195deg C

For the highest performance change brake fluid before every race or competitive event, especially if brake temperatures are known to be high.

710 Racing Brake Fluid is not suitable for use in certain Citroen and other vehicles requiring a mineral based fluid (LHM). It should not be used in vehicles fitted with magnesium alloy cylinders or reservoirs. Silicone type assembly compounds should not be used in conjunction with this product.

Almost all brake failures are due to contaminated brake fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, it draws moisture out of the air, moisture that will cause corrosion in your master cylinder and brake calipers. This is why we strongly recommend changing your brake fluid every one to two years depending on climate.

This Brake Bleeder Kit by MityVac will make this dreaded chore easy, clean, and quick.

Illustrated booklet makes your troubleshooting easy.

Brake fluid DOT 4 20Ltr Textar

textar

Brake fluid is one of the most important fluids in a car as without it, stopping the vehicle safely would be impossible. The Brake fluid transmits the force exerted by the driver on the brake pedal onto the wheel brake.
To ensure perfect operation of the brakes, the brake fluid must be changed regularly during inspection or maintenance and tested with the correct brake fluid tester.

Brake fluid should be changed every two years.

The higher the DOT class, the higher the boiling temperature and wet boiling point. Higher DOT classes tend to allow longer maintenance intervals. The DOT standards are based on the American FMVSS-116 standard of the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Boiling Point and Viscosity

Dry Boiling Point - describes the property of the sealed new brake fluid. In this state, the brake fluid is almost anhydrous (substance containing no water). The dry boiling point is usually between 240 and 280°C.

Wet Boiling Point
 - determines the property of the brake fluid at the end of its life cycle, at a water content of 3.5% the fluid should be replaced. This defined wet boiling point must not be undercut.

Viscosity - describes the flow rate of the brake fluid. The lower the viscosity, the faster the brake fluid flows through the brake system, and the faster the brake signals are transmitted.

Important Notes
• Brake fluid is poisonous and a hazardous waste.
• Be careful when changing. The fluid weakens paints and plastics.
• It must not come into contact with eyes or skin. Always rinse spilled liquid with water.
• Do not pour the liquid into drinking water or mix with used oil.
• The colour of the brake fluid reveals nothing about its quality.
• Brake fluid should be stored in its original packaging and in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Product Information
Brake discs, calipers, pads and brake master cylinders are the four cardinal points of each brake system; however, they are likely to be useless without the core of the entire system, the brake fluid. This component is so neglected as to be generally controlled in a summary fashion, with topping instead of a more appropriate replacement, at the change frequency recommended by the manufacturer.
brembo

DOT 4
Having an extremely high boiling point and lower viscosity than required, it meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. Also suitable for vehicles with ABS.

Vapour Lock formation
This sort of habit leaves room for the Vapour Lock, the formation of vapour bubbles due to boiling of the brake fluid that replace the normal fluid and are compressed, thereby sending the brake pedal to its fill stoke (spongy pedal). The origin is incident in the porosity of the tubes that make up the braking circuit, which in time draw moisture into the fluid, drastically reducing the boiling point. The result is a reduced braking efficiency.

Brembo Premium Brake Fluid
Brembo Premium brake fluids have a higher boiling point that exceeds the standard, thus offering superior resistance to the Vapour Lock and ensuring braking efficiency even at low temperatures. With high anti-corrosion properties and resistance to oxidation, Brembo brake fluid also allows for long-term unaltered chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in operating circuit; therefore, preserving its integrity.

MOTUL RBF 600 DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid Factory Line - 500ml

motul

100% Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid – DOT 4

FEATURES:

  • High Boiling Point: 312°C / 594°F
  • Application: Suitable for hydraulic brake and clutch systems.

TYPE OF USE:
Designed for all types of hydraulic brake and clutch systems that require a non-silicone synthetic fluid. Engineered to handle the extreme temperatures generated by racing brake systems (both steel and carbon) and hydraulic clutch systems. Also compatible with conventional steel disc brakes and standard hydraulic clutch actuators. Exceeds DOT 3 and DOT 5.1 standards, except for viscosity at -40°C / -40°F.

PERFORMANCE:

  • Standards: FMVSS 116 DOT 4, ISO 4925 (5.1, 4 & 3), SAE J1703
  • Thermal Resistance and Stability:
    • The MOTUL RBF 600 FACTORY LINE offers an exceptionally high dry boiling point of 312°C / 594°F, surpassing the requirements of DOT 5.1 non-silicone (260°C min / 500°F min) and DOT 4 (230°C min / 446°F min) standards, ensuring reliable braking performance even under extreme conditions.
    • Wet Performance:
      • The fluid also boasts a high wet boiling point of 205°C / 401°F, exceeding the DOT 5.1 non-silicone (180°C min / 356°F min) and DOT 4 (155°C min / 311°F min) standards. This helps maintain effective braking in wet conditions, as brake fluids like DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 tend to absorb moisture from the air, reducing their boiling points and increasing the risk of vapor lock. The wet boiling point is measured after adding 3% water, simulating fluid condition after one year of use.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Drain Interval: Follow manufacturer recommendations and adjust based on usage.
  • Mixing: Avoid mixing with lower-performance polyglycol-based brake fluids. Do not mix with silicone-based (DOT 5) or mineral-based fluids (LHM).
  • Storage: Keep brake fluid in its original, tightly sealed container to prevent moisture absorption.
  • Handling: This product is chemically aggressive. In case of contact with skin, paint, or varnish, rinse thoroughly with water.

PROPERTIES:

  • Color: Amber
  • Viscosity at 100°C (212°F): 2.5 mm²/s
  • Viscosity at -40°C (-40°F): 1,750.0 mm²/s
  • Dry Boiling Point: 312.0°C / 594.0°F
  • Wet Boiling Point: 205.0°C / 401.0°F
