If you have a '69-'89 911/912/930 chances are the lower dashboard is looking pretty rough. Typically, the foam padding is peeling away at the corners, the Radio/HVAC openings are sagging, the plastic bits and pieces are fading, the glovebox door is misaligned, and the list goes on. We've seen countless restorations and resto-mods that are absolutely flawless until you sit in the car and are faced with that gloomy factory dash. This is an area that really bothered us in our own restorations, so we finally developed a solution… The Rennline Dash Backdate Kit.



The Rennline Dash Backdate kit is a fascia that installs in place of all that OEM ugliness. It does away with the original foam padding, the glovebox door, the seatbelt warning light, and all the other non-necessities. In their place is a beautiful fascia that incorporates a polished extrusion similar to that of the early 911's but in one full length rather than the broken-up sections. Also reminiscent of the early 911's are the extrusion inserts which are available in a number of different options from carbon fiber or basketweave to walnut or stainless steel. This may very well be the final piece of your restoration/resto-mod puzzle. *Note – You switch locations may differ from photos. Headlight Knob included; other knobs available separately.



This kit includes

· Dash Overlay

· Polished Extrusion and Extrusion End Pieces

Installation is relatively straight forward and involves the following steps:

Removing your glovebox and all accessories from the dashboard.
The Rennline Dash Backdate kit comes with provisions for the early HVAC Control, ignition switch, and headlight switch. If you would like to retain other switches, then you would need to drill the necessary holes into the dash overlay.
If you would like installation a radio, there is a perforated punch out in the extrusion. You would just need to cut the hole in the extrusion insert
Install the fascia over the existing dash frame using the supplied self-drilling hardware
Install the extrusion to the fascia using the supplied flat head sheet metal screws
Slide inserts into place
Install extrusions end caps
Install Accessories

Radio and Heater Control block off plates - Until now, removing the center console from your 964/993 was not possible due to the required switches that were mounted in it. Rennline's new radio and heater control block off plates solve that problem. These plates have been specially designed to accept the factory switches installed in the center console of all 964/993 911 85+ cars. Don't have the factory switches? No problem. These plates are also available without switch cutouts so you can install your own switches or gauges. Made from powder coated metal and installs in minutes on cars with the radio or heater controls removed.

If you're one of those enthusiasts who would rather listen to the sweet sound of that flat 6 than the radio, then we have the solution for you. By popular request, we have developed a radio delete plate similar to the one found on the later RS and RS Americas. Installs easily with two retainers and two lock nuts, and powdercoated in a semi-textured black for a clean OEM look.

Compatible with 911/912/930 ('65-'89) or any car with a threaded lever.

Rennline's billet aluminium teardrop defrost knobs are the perfect inexpensive interior upgrade for any Porsche equipped with this feature. Factory knobs become faded, cracked, and/or unsightly after years of exposure to UV light. Rennline billet knobs are machined from 6061 aluminium and are available in red, silver or black anodized finishes for a durable, long lasting appearance. Simply unscrew your old knob, and screw our on.
