Solid engine mounts are a smart upgrade to any track or aggressive street car, and were installed on Porsche factory race cars. Stock mounts are made of compliant rubber, and contribute to imprecise shifting and inferior throttle response. Solid mounts create slightly more interior vibration than rubber mounts, but securely connect the engine and transmission assembly to the car's unibody, creating a crisper throttle response and shifter feel. Rennline's solid mounts are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum for strength and light weight, and come as a pair with new Grade 8 mounting hardware. Sold as a set of (2)

Fits Porsche 993 Carrera 2 / 4 Porsche 993 S / C4S Porsche 993 turbo This oil backflow kit incorporates a check valve between the oil tank and the engine which prevents the smoking on start up for naturally aspirated and turbocharged 993 models.
Perhaps you have installed a pressure side oil backflow kit on your turbo model but are still experiencing smoking on start up. The issue may be on the suction side. The problem on the suction side is due to the oil tank sitting higher than the engine oil pump. Gravity creates a positive pressure on the pump and slowly fills the engine case with time. The case fills up and eventually pushes oil into the catch tanks on the hot side / turbine side of the turbo charger. Once the car is started, the cars smokes very heavily which is often misdiagnosed as a defective turbocharger.
Sold individually. 1 necessary per car.
Recommendation: This kit is all that is necessary for naturally aspirated models.
It is best to address both the suction and pressure side to prevent the issue entirely on turbo charged models. We also sell a pressure side backflow kit under part # 993113320

Are you experiencing smoking on start up after your turbo sits for extended periods of time? Odds are you are experiencing what is commonly referred to as oil back flow.
The problem arises from the use of low viscosity oil and the upgraded oil filter cut off mechanism not working as it should. So, you get a slow stream of engine oil which leads to overflow of the oil catch tanks on the turbochargers (pressure side).
If your leaking is due to this reason, our FVD pressure side oil backflow kit incorporates check valves that will prevent the oil from overflowing in the catch tanks and will ultimately stop the smoking on start up.

Oil Inlet Check Valves eliminate oil migration from the oil tank to the engine reducing excessive smoking on start up typical of cars that sit for long periods of time.
For freshly rebuilt engines, do not install check valve until first oil change.
Before installing, start your engine and verify/ reference your oil pressure. Drain oil from the engine and oil tank. Remove the rubber oil inlet hose on the right side of the engine directly behind the #6 cylinder. Cut a 1.5" piece out of the center of the horizontal section of the hose. Install the check valve with the correct orientation and tighten the clamps. Reinstall the hose and refill engine oil.
Check your oil pressure gauge when you start your engine and verify pressure.
Note: the valve is clearly marked with an engine side and a tank side. Failure to install the check valve in the right orientation will cause oil starvation and catastrophic damage to your engine.

One of the only weak points on the 964 and 993 chassis is the engine carrier. When these models are tracked, or are fitted with stiffer than stock engine mounts, the engine carrier should be reinforced. If it is not, the carrier is known to bend, crack, or even break cleanly away from an engine mount in response to increased vibration and stress. The Porsche factory was aware of this problem and equipped its race cars with a reinforced engine carrier. Rennline now exclusively offers an engine mount reinforcement gusset kit that can be welded to the engine carrier by your workshop.

Rennline now offers a tube frame replacement for your factory engine carrier that is proven to be much stronger, and can withhold the stresses of any track day, while offering a 1.4lb weight savings over a gusseted factory carrier. All parts manufactured on cnc equipment and meticulously tig welded, finished with a matte black powdercoat.
