Parts For Cayenne 92A (958) 2010-2017

About Cayenne 92A (958) 2010-2017

The second-generation Porsche Cayenne, designated 92A (958), was launched for sale in April–May 2010 as a 2011 model, with its official premiere at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. To prepare for the unveiling, the Cayenne production facility in Leipzig, Germany, ceased operations in December 2009 to undergo two to three months of factory retooling for the new model.

The 92A Cayenne showcased several enhancements compared to its predecessors. It was slightly larger, featuring a more aerodynamic profile with a slanted rear window, a less upright windshield, and a sleeker roofline. Other notable design changes included door-mounted mirrors, smaller rear windows, headlights inspired by the Carrera GT, taillights extending onto the tailgate, and LED daytime running lights. The interior underwent a significant redesign, reminiscent of the Panamera.

One of the key improvements was a reduction in weight, with the 2011 Cayenne being almost 250 kg (551 lb) lighter than previous models. This was achieved by eliminating the low-range transfer case and incorporating more aluminum and magnesium components. Despite its lower weight, the new Cayenne maintained its off-road capabilities while enhancing its street performance-oriented layout and design.

In addition to traditional petrol models, the second-generation Cayenne introduced diesel and hybrid versions.
