The direct oil feed (DOF) solution uses a patent pending custom made Intermediate Shaft Flange that utilizes a direct oil feed to the original Intermediate Shaft Bearing. It uses an adapted pressure fed oil line from a positive oil pressure feed on the cylinder head directly to an opening in the custom Intermediate Shaft Flange. This feeds fresh oil directly to the open end of the IMS bearing (after removing the seal to expose the ball bearings on the IMS bearing). By using a positive oil feed from the engine's cylinder head valve cover, there will always be a consistent flow of oil directed to the open end of the intermediate shaft bearing.

This is a cost effective way to help protect against a possible IMS bearing failure, using the original bearing. The system, however can also be used when replacing the bearing with a new SKF steel ball bearing for added insurance with a new, zero mile bearing.

The combination of the patented "Y" design of the IPD Plenum combined with a larger TB allow for improved air flow and intake air speed. IPD offers 2 different 986 Boxster plenum versions, each specifically suited to work with different model years and engine displacements.

Scavenging and aeration in the oil pan have been identified as a problem in 996/997, Boxster, and Cayman models experiencing high G-forces on the racetrack. The R-9095 oil pan spacer provides a simple solution. This spacer increases sump capacity by half a quart, providing more reserve to ward off starvation. The R-9095 is approved by the Porsche Club of America for use in PCA club racing Stock and Prepared class cars. The R-9095 kit clears all factory options including the rear skid plate. Added oil capacities as well as increased oil pan surface area increase oil cooling and engine performance.

*Note: Oil pan and sump baffle are OEM parts and do not need to be purchased. Baffle spacer and pick-up tube spacer are included in this kit.

The Accusump is designed collect pressurized oil from your engine and store it so it may be discharged later during low oil pressure surges to protect against engine damage during demanding racing conditions. After the oil pressure stabilizes, the piston inside the Accusump moves back and forth, pressurizing the Accusump until it equalizes with engine's oil pressure. The Electric Pressure Control Valve we use is for a discharge/refill of 35-40 PSI. These valves have the convenience of an electric valve for remote mounted units on daily drivers but with the rapid refill rate of a manual valve as required in racing. The E.P.C. valving will only allow the Accusump to discharge oil when the engine's oil pressure drops below a predetermined level and only refill when the pressure rises above that level.

The LN Engineering HPDE Accusump kit is easy to install, requiring plumbing of only a single oil line. Our universal Accusump kit has everything you need to carry out a custom Accusump installation in your Boxster, Cayman, or 911, sans wiring or electrical pieces and includes a two quart Marine Accusump system including LN Engineering's Spin-On Full-Flow Oil Filter Adapter, single input sandwich adapter (for easy one-line installation - fits between filter and LN spin on filter adapter), the LN Engineering Billet Washable High Performance Oil Filter, 45 psi electronic valve, hose, and fittings. In conjunction with the installation of an Accusump, we recommend adding an X51 oil baffle and 997 oil return tubes for improved oil control and ensure scavenge oil is returned to the sump as quickly as possible. More and more we hear about connecting rod bearings seizing or cylinders becoming scored and destroying Porsche M96 and M97 engines. This all has to do with poor lubrication on banking and high speed corners which can result in high engine oil temperature and oil pump starvation. Introducing our newest component, the backflow preventer (BFP).

Our Remote Oil Filter Adapter Backflow Preventer (BFP) goes directly in place of the original factory oil filter canister allowing for ease of installation of lubrication & pressure accessories such as oil pressure compensator(s), external oil cooler(s) and a larger, metal oil filter element. Our (BFP) also eliminates restrictive filter size spin on oil filter adapters and sandwich plate options by combining the two into one component & integrating a backflow check valve. Two key benefits here is our (BFP) will provide a greater ground clearance allowing for a much larger remote mounted filter to be placed, which will provide a better oil filtration and flow for the engine assembly, as well as the ability to connect & install multiple oil lubrication & cooling accessories.

Some spin-on oil filter kits currently on the market go in place of the original filter canister area, eliminating the possibility of having multiple oil system accessories, forcing you to use either an oil cooler delete plate with external oil cooler, a spin on "sandwich adapter" in conjunction with the spin on filter adapter to connect an accessory OR nothing at all with simply a smaller filter. This will also create ground clearance issues having multiple components sandwiched together with the inclusion of the oil filter, especially on lowered vehicles. The only way to prevent a ground clearance issue on this setup is to use the smallest filter possible. If a spin on filter adapter & sandwich plate are used without the inclusion of a spin on oil filter, ground clearance will not be the issue at hand; the connection of multiple oil lubrication accessories becomes limited and the greater number of items to purchase increases to have the same oil kit solutions found with our (BFP) stage kits. A remote oil filter adapter and filter will still need to be placed. Save time and money with our (BFP).

A sandwich adapter combo with the spin-on oil filter will also require the use of an external oil check valve which has a maintenance life and will need to be replaced overtime. The (BFP)'s integrated check valve has a lifetime service life eliminating the need to replace a check valve.

Smaller filters are a lot more restrictive on their filtration and will have decreased service intervals. Compared to the original factory oil filter element and other smaller spin-on oil filters, the larger oil filter found on our (BFP) kits diminishes dry starts under cold cranking conditions due to its low restriction design & internal anti-drain back valve assuring immediate oil flow. The larger filter also has a greater burst pressure of up to 500psi designed to take pressure spikes in race engines that have higher oil pressure.
