Design911 at Porschefreunde 1. Mai 2025

A Celebration of Porsche Passion in Dinslaken, Germany

On May 1st, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at one of Europe’s most iconic Porsche gatherings — Porschefreunde 1. Mai in Dinslaken, Germany. As one of the largest independently organised Porsche events in the world, the show brought together thousands of enthusiasts and over a thousand cars, covering everything from air-cooled legends to the latest GT cars. And this year, Design911 was right in the heart of it.

A Stand Worth Stopping For

We went all in for our display this year, setting up a full Design911 stand complete with flags, banners, and four standout cars. We also brought a curated selection of styling and performance parts, and handed out exclusive goodie bags filled with Porsche merchandise and event-only discount vouchers.

Our display lineup included:

  • 992 GT3 – a crowd favourite, combining race-bred performance with road-legal style and presence.

Throughout the day, we welcomed visitors to our stand who came to check out the cars, grab some free merch, and get hands-on with some of the quality Porsche parts we supply every day.

Giving Back to the Community

To say thank you to the Porsche community, we handed out dozens of Design911 goodie bags, which included stickers, vouchers, exclusive discount codes, and branded giveaways. It was great to connect with fans, owners and customers who share the same passion — many of whom told us about their own Porsche stories, projects, and dream builds.

The Cars That Stole the Show

While our stand drew plenty of attention, the entire showground was a visual feast for Porsche lovers. From factory-fresh GT models to rare classics and wild custom builds, Porschefreunde 1. Mai didn’t disappoint.

A few standout vehicles included:

  • A row of Porsche 911 Speedsters, painted in vibrant colours like Riviera Blue, Miami Blue, and Mint Green. A rare sight, and a dream lineup for many.

  • A satin black 992 GT3 RS, complete with a towering wing and motorsport-grade aero – aggressive, purposeful and drawing eyes all day.

  • A white RSR-style backdate with Martini Racing livery, wide arches, ducktail spoiler and deep-dish wheels – pure ’70s motorsport vibes.

  • A stunning Porsche 356 in dark green, sporting whitewall tyres and polished chrome – an absolute jewel that harks back to the roots of the Porsche brand.

  • A pair of 944s, one in red and another wild custom wide-arch version in white with deep-dish wheels – proof that transaxle Porsches are having a moment.

  • A jaw-dropping custom 911 GT1-style build, finished in white with Martini livery and an enormous rear wing – one of the most unique cars at the event.

  • A silver 993 Carrera with gold wheels and side decals – subtle, clean and perfectly presented.

  • A matte black 964, dropped on mesh wheels with Recaro buckets – raw, refined, and ready for a B-road blast.

And honestly? That barely scratches the surface. Everywhere you looked, there were hidden gems: from rare 911 Targas and Caymans to perfectly restored 356s and aggressive modern builds. Whether you love originality or custom creativity, this event had something for everyone.

A Storied Event with Deep Roots

The Porschefreunde 1. Mai event has grown from a grassroots meet-up into one of the most beloved gatherings on the European Porsche calendar. Held annually on May 1st — Germany’s national holiday — at the historic Trabrennbahn Dinslaken (Dinslaken Trotting Track), it attracts visitors from all across Europe.

The event first launched in the early 2000s and has since evolved into a true festival of flat-six culture. With a relaxed atmosphere, open paddocks, and hundreds of owner-driven cars on show, it’s the perfect place for Porsche fans to come together, swap stories, share inspiration, and celebrate everything we love about the marque.

A Day to Remember

From the moment we arrived to set up in the early morning, to the final conversations and snapshots as the sun set, Porschefreunde 1. Mai was a celebration of community, craftsmanship, and passion. It reminded us why we do what we do — supporting Porsche owners and fans with the parts, products and advice they need to build, maintain and enjoy these legendary cars.

We’d like to thank the incredible organisers, all the fellow exhibitors, and every single person who stopped by the Design911 stand. We had a fantastic day, and we can’t wait to return next year.

Until next year – keep driving, keep building, and keep the Porsche passion alive.
