We had a fantastic time attending this year’s Classics at the Clubhouse, set in the stunning grounds of Sandford Springs Golf Club. Known as one of the UK’s leading one-day air-cooled events, the show brought together an incredible mix of Porsche and Volkswagen classics. It was a real pleasure to be there with a full Design911 stand.

From legendary builds to exclusive merch and great conversations, the day had everything we love about the air-cooled scene.

Porsche Icons at Classics at the Clubhouse

We brought along a few favourites from the Design911 collection, and they definitely turned heads.

Our white Porsche 964 Turbo looked right at home parked on the fairway. Its bold arches, classic stance and unmistakable silhouette made it one of the standout cars of the day.

Meanwhile, the Safari Dakar tribute car drew attention with its rally lights, roof rack and rugged detailing. Resting on hay bales, it brought real off-road spirit to the show.

Also on display was our Porsche-liveried VW Camper, styled with vintage touches and a wooden roof rack. It proved to be a big hit with visitors of all ages — especially VW fans looking for something a little different.

Design911’s Display: Safari Build, VW Camper & More

Our stand was a busy hub throughout the day. The layout allowed visitors to browse our collection, grab a seat, chat with the team and enjoy the relaxed vibe of the show.

We also brought along a range of official Design911 merchandise — including t-shirts, parts and accessories. The feedback from guests was brilliant, with many walking away in new gear.

Across the fairway, the mix of air-cooled Porsches and VWs created a fantastic atmosphere. It was great to see so many classic 911s, 356s, Beetles and Buses all in one place.

Goodie Bags, Half-Price Tees & Community Spirit

We wanted to give a little something back. Every visitor to our stand could pick up a free goodie bag, filled with exclusive offers and surprises.

We also offered half-price Porsche t-shirts, which were only available at the event. The designs, inspired by some of our favourite models, proved hugely popular. Many guests wore theirs straight away!

The Design911 Sponsor’s Choice Award

This year, we were proud to present the Design911 Sponsor’s Choice Award — given to a car that stood out for its quality, presence, and the story behind it.

The award went to @robonika71 for his incredible Porsche 911 S/T build. Recently acquired — just two weeks before the show — the car made an instant impression. Finished in bright orange with white roundels, it was a head-turner from every angle.

The details were outstanding. From the immaculate engine bay to the clean, race-inspired front trunk, the S/T showed the kind of care and attention that true enthusiasts appreciate. Despite being new to him, the car already felt like a perfect fit.

It quickly became a favourite with visitors and judges alike — and was a worthy winner of our 2025 Sponsor’s Choice Award.

Why Classics at the Clubhouse Stands Out

This event continues to offer something different. With its unique location, welcoming vibe and hand-picked cars, Classics at the Clubhouse has become a key date in the calendar for anyone who loves air-cooled vehicles.

What made it even better was the people. We spoke to long-time Porsche owners, VW bus builders, and first-time visitors discovering the scene. Everyone had a story to tell — and that’s what made the day so memorable.
