In model year 1994, Porsche replaced the 964 series with the 993 Turbo and Turbo S. Simple? Not really. Because this meant the end of the road for the air-cooled 911s. Possibly predicting resistance, Porsche only made 5,000 of these beauties between 1995 and 1998. It’s a collector’s item, and worth keeping on the road. We can help with that. You’re welcome!

Sensors working overtime?

Then they may need replacing sooner rather than later. Under your 993, the oxygen (or Lambda) sensor is sat in your exhaust manifold, watching the unburned oxygen in your engine’s exhaust. It uses that calibration to adjust the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission control. It’s a handy piece of kit, and we stock replacements by Porsche, Bosch and OE Match Classic.
