Porsche Offers 3 Years Free Charging With New Electric Car

If you’ve already placed an order for the Porsche Taycan in the States then you are in luck, all purchasers of Porsches new, all-electric car – designed to give Tesla an eco-friendly run for their money will be eligible for free charging within a three year period.

This free electricity will be provided from charging stations in a deal made with Electrify America, they operate between 500 highway charging stations of up to 30-minutes use. Porsche claims that its battery technology will be able to absorb charging rates up to 350 kilowatts, almost three times greater than that of the current crop of Tesla batteries.

These charging stations are so efficient that it is possible to get 60 miles of range charged in as small as a 4-minute charging session.

If you were wondering what the world-renowned motorsport company thinks of electric cars, Porsche has made it clear by announcing that they now intend to produce 40,000 units of the Taycan rather then the 20,000 previously announced. It seems as though they are literally doubling down on their commitment to producing an offering for the ‘Green’ market. For those of you who would rather charge their car at home, Porsche designed Charge-at-home chargers are also on the Horizon.

The Porsche Taycan is expected to be in showrooms by 2020 in several variants, ranging from $90,000 to $140,000, will you be buying?
