This Adapt Motorsport drive-by-wire kit equips a classic Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 intake manifold with a Bosch 74mm electronic throttle body. It replaces the standard 63mm mechanical arrangement and is supplied with a choice of small or large K&N air filter.

What This Product Does

The kit converts the Carrera 3.2 intake manifold from a mechanically operated throttle body to electronic drive-by-wire control. Its larger throttle diameter supports increased airflow, while a suitable ECU can manage throttle sensitivity, idle control and other electronic throttle functions.

• Supplied with either a small or large K&N air filter; Adapt Motorsport recommends the small filter for street engines below 3.6 litres.

Why Replacement Matters

This conversion removes mechanical linkage drag and simplifies the intake installation while enabling programmable throttle behaviour through a compatible ECU. Depending on the selected engine-management system and calibration, electronic throttle control may also support functions such as torque management, traction control and cruise control.

Installation Notes

The throttle body must be installed and calibrated by an experienced person. Appropriate ECU safety strategies must be configured, and the conversion will require a compatible electronic accelerator pedal and engine-management system. Additional intake pipework may be fabricated if the air filter is to be positioned away from the throttle body.
