Capricorn forging pistons are inter alia made of aluminium alloy with metal matrix composites (MMC's). Surface irradiation in the area of the piston bottom and printing of the piston shirt is carried out with Xylan. In the case of purchased parts such as piston rings, pins and clips, we rely only on the most prestigious suppliers with whom we have been cooperating successfully for years and who all have many years of experience in motorsport.
Likewise, Capricorn cylinders are made of high-strength forged steel or aluminium tubes. Mostly our liners are nickel-ceramic coated (surface hardness of 520-550HV), optionally plasma coated.
