What Does the Distributor Cap Do?
The distributor cap forms part of the conventional ignition system used on the Porsche 928S. High voltage from the ignition coil enters the centre of the distributor cap. As the distributor rotor turns inside the cap, it directs this voltage to each cylinder terminal in the correct firing order.
