Door Contact Switch – sold each

OE Match replacement door contact switch for Porsche 356 models. Designed to restore correct operation of the interior courtesy lighting system, this original-style switch activates the interior light when the door opens and switches it off when the door closes.

Fits:

• Porsche 356 B T6 / 356 C 1.6 08/62-12/65

Ideal for replacing faulty, corroded or worn switches during routine maintenance or classic Porsche restoration.

What Does the Door Contact Switch Do?

Mounted in the door aperture, the switch controls the interior courtesy light. Opening the door releases the switch plunger, completing the lighting circuit.

Why Does It Fail?

Age, moisture and repeated operation can cause corrosion, worn electrical contacts or a sticking switch mechanism, resulting in unreliable interior lighting.

When Should It Be Replaced?

Replace the switch if the interior light fails to illuminate, remains on when the door is closed or operates intermittently. Check the bulb, wiring and electrical connections before replacement.

Earlier Porsche 356 and 356B T5 models use a different door contact switch. Check the original connector type before ordering.
