The DesignTek stainless steel decat downpipe is a performance-focused exhaust upgrade for the Porsche Macan 2.0T MK1. Designed to replace the restrictive original catalyst section, it provides a freer-flowing exhaust path from the turbocharger into the remaining exhaust system.

By removing the catalytic converter core, the downpipe helps reduce exhaust back pressure and allows hot gases to leave the turbocharger more efficiently. This can support sharper turbo response, a stronger exhaust note and improved compatibility with performance ECU tuning and upgraded rear exhaust systems.

The downpipe is manufactured from durable stainless steel for resistance to heat, corrosion and repeated thermal cycling. Its heat-resistant outer wrapping helps limit radiant heat around the downpipe, protecting nearby wiring, hoses, underbody components and other heat-sensitive parts within the tightly packaged engine and exhaust area.

NOTE:
This downpipe does not contain a catalytic converter and is generally intended for track, competition or off-road use. It may not comply with local emissions, noise or road-use regulations. Legal suitability should be checked before installation.
