The Fabspeed Porsche 911 Carrera European Pre-Muffler Pipe is a performance exhaust upgrade designed for classic Porsche 911 SC and Carrera models from 1976–1989.

Based on the European pre-muffler concept, this component replaces the original catalytic converter with a freer-flowing, resonated exhaust section. The result is reduced exhaust restriction, improved throttle response, reduced weight and a stronger air-cooled flat-six exhaust note.

Unlike a simple straight catalyst bypass pipe, the Fabspeed European Pre-Muffler incorporates a straight-through resonator with stainless-steel wool packing. This helps produce a deeper, more refined performance exhaust tone while reducing the harsh rasp often associated with completely straight-piped exhaust systems.

What This Product Does:
The pre-muffler replaces the factory catalytic converter section of the exhaust system.

Instead of forcing exhaust gases through the restrictive catalyst substrate, the Fabspeed pipe provides a freer-flowing route towards the rear muffler.

During Fabspeed DynoJet testing, peak curve gains of up to 21 WHP and 17 ft-lb at approximately 4,500 rpm were recorded, with maximum power increases of approximately 16 WHP and 16 ft-lb.
