Fabspeed Sport Headers.

The Fabspeed Sport Headers are a high-performance replacement for the factory exhaust manifolds on the 2011 Porsche 997.2 GT2 RS.

Designed to improve the flow of exhaust gases from the cylinder heads to the turbochargers, these headers provide a less restrictive exhaust path intended to improve engine response and turbocharger performance.

The system is manufactured from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and incorporates high-velocity 3-into-1 merge collectors. These CAD-designed collectors bring the exhaust gases from each bank together efficiently before they reach the turbochargers, helping improve exhaust scavenging and minimise unnecessary turbulence.

Fabspeed designed the headers as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory manifolds, making them suitable both as a performance upgrade and as a replacement for damaged or deteriorated original headers.

What This Product Does:
The exhaust headers collect combustion gases leaving the engine's cylinders and direct them towards the turbochargers.

Common signs of damaged or deteriorating headers include:

• Blowing or hissing noises from the manifold area
• Black soot deposits around header joints
• Visible cracks in the manifold or welds
• Exhaust leaks around the cylinder-head flanges
• Warped or distorted mounting flanges

Similar symptoms can also be caused by failed exhaust gaskets, loose fasteners or leaks elsewhere in the exhaust system, so the complete assembly should be inspected before replacement.

A secure and leak-free exhaust route between the cylinder heads and turbochargers is particularly important on a high-performance turbocharged engine.
