What This Product Does:
- The Heater Tube Bracket is a support/clamp that holds the corrugated heater tube securely in place inside the vehicle’s heating system. It prevents the heater tube from shifting, vibrating, bending or rubbing against other components as the car moves and the engine heats up.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- A loose, cracked, or missing bracket can cause the heater tube to vibrate against the body/chassis, creating rattles—especially over bumps.
- If the tube isn’t held correctly, it can shift, sag, or partially kink, reducing airflow and causing weaker heat output.
- When the tube moves out of position, you may get air escaping before it reaches the heater ducting, resulting in poor heating efficiency. If the tube shifts, warm air may vent into areas it shouldn’t (instead of flowing forward properly), sometimes noticeable as heat under the car or in the wrong section of the chassis.
- Restores proper heater tube positioning so warm air flows where it should instead of escaping under the car.
- Prevents vibration and rattles caused by a loose or unsupported heater tube.
- Reduces wear and damage by stopping the tube from rubbing/chafing against surrounding metal.
- Helps maintain strong, consistent cabin heat and demisting, since airflow stays unrestricted and properly routed.
- Protects new heater tubes (especially during restorations) by keeping the system stable and correctly supported.
