Installation Tip

The original Porsche lens is permanently bonded to the lamp housing, but it can be removed carefully.

A proven method is to place the complete lamp in a conventional oven at 100°C for 7-8 minutes to soften the adhesive before removing the old lens. Alternatively, carefully soften the welded edge using a soldering iron.

When fitting the new lens, ensure a continuous watertight seal around the entire edge to prevent future moisture ingress.

What Does the Indicator Lens Do?

The rear indicator lens protects the lamp assembly while allowing the amber indicator signal to remain bright and clearly visible. It also prevents dirt, water and road debris from entering the light unit, helping to protect the bulb and reflector.
