80°C Thermostat.
The OE MATCH 80°C Thermostat is a replacement engine cooling-system thermostat designed to regulate coolant circulation and help maintain controlled engine operating temperatures.

With an 80°C temperature rating, this thermostat begins regulating coolant flow according to its specified operating range. It provides an alternative replacement option for compatible applications where an 80°C thermostat is required.

What This Product Does:

The thermostat acts as a temperature-controlled valve within the engine cooling circuit.

When the engine is cold, the thermostat restricts coolant circulation through the radiator. This helps the engine reach its normal operating temperature efficiently.

As coolant temperature increases towards the thermostat's operating range, the thermostat opens to allow increased coolant circulation through the radiator. Heat can then be transferred away from the engine.

The 80°C thermostat helps:

  • Regulate engine coolant circulation

The engine coolant thermostat is a small but essential component that regulates coolant flow through your engine. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed to restrict coolant circulation, allowing the engine to reach its optimal operating temperature more quickly. Once the desired temperature is achieved, it opens to maintain consistent cooling and prevent overheating.   Products ref no. 9A712111000 which supersedes from old part numbers 9A110622602 & 9A110622603

Installation Tip: Always position the thermostat’s jiggle pin (bleed valve) at the 12 o’clock position when possible, to ensure proper air bleeding.

Thermostat Temperature Ratings

Many vehicles offer thermostats with different temperature ratings. These ratings indicate the temperature at which the thermostat begins to open.

In colder climates, a higher temperature thermostat helps the engine maintain warmth. In hot desert climates, a lower temperature thermostat may be preferred to enhance cooling efficiency.
