Lambda Oxygen Sensor, AFTER Catalytic Converter.
The OE MATCH Lambda Oxygen Sensor is a replacement exhaust-gas sensor designed for installation after the catalytic converter. Also known as an oxygen sensor, O2 sensor or post-cat lambda sensor, it monitors the oxygen content of the exhaust gases downstream of the catalytic converter.

The information produced by the sensor allows the vehicle's engine management and emissions-control systems to monitor catalytic converter efficiency and identify abnormal exhaust or emissions conditions.

What This Product Does:

The lambda sensor measures the oxygen content in the exhaust gases and sends an electrical signal to the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU).

This particular sensor is positioned after the catalytic converter, meaning its primary role differs from an oxygen sensor installed before the catalyst.

The upstream sensor is generally more directly involved in monitoring combustion and fuel mixture, while the post-catalytic-converter sensor monitors the exhaust after it has passed through the catalyst.
