DesignTek’s Stage 1 twin turbo upgrade service converts customer-supplied Porsche 993 911 GT2 turbochargers to MD435 & MD436 hybrid specifications. Complete turbochargers are not included.

How the Service Works

Provide your current turbocharger pair for the upgrade work. Alternatively, obtain new turbochargers separately and arrange their modification independently; buying those units does not include this service.

What This Product Does

This is modification work on a supplied pair, rather than an outright turbocharger purchase. The Stage 1 specification involves changes to compressor wheels, matching housing profiles, turbine wheels and sealing components.

These Hybrid Turbos must be fitted as a pair.

The output estimate is not a promise of results from modification alone. The complete engine configuration and its calibration determine the outcome.

Symptoms of Fault

Investigate blue exhaust smoke, unusual whining, rising oil consumption, slow boost build-up or erratic boost delivery before proceeding. Similar behaviour can arise from leaking hoses, restricted lubrication or boost-control faults, so symptoms alone do not establish turbocharger failure.

Why Replacement Matters

An upgrade is not a remedy for an unresolved mechanical problem. Have the existing units assessed and inspect their oil supply, return lines, intake connections and control hardware. Any underlying fault should be corrected, with calibration matched to the finished engine specification.
