What This Product Does

This bracket provides a fixed supporting and mounting point within the clutch release mechanism. It works as part of the assembly containing the clutch operating fork, bellcrank, springs and release bearing, helping these components remain correctly positioned during clutch operation.

Functions

  • Supports components within the clutch release mechanism
  • Provides a secure mounting point on the transmission assembly
  • Helps maintain the correct location of associated operating parts
  • Works alongside the release fork, bellcrank and clutch release bearing

Symptoms of Fault

  • Excessive movement or poor alignment in the clutch release mechanism
  • Inconsistent clutch pedal action
  • Difficulty disengaging the clutch cleanly
  • Unusual noise from the clutch operating assembly
  • Visible cracking, distortion, corrosion or damaged mounting points

Why Replacement Matters

A damaged or distorted bracket can affect the alignment and movement of the surrounding clutch release components. Replacement may be required during clutch or gearbox repairs to maintain the original mounting arrangement and avoid placing unnecessary stress on the release fork, bearing and related hardware. Inspect the associated springs, circlips, bellcrank and operating lever while the assembly is accessible.

FAQs

  • Is this the clutch release bearing? No. This is the supporting bracket used within the clutch release assembly; the release bearing is a separate component.
  • Should related parts be inspected? Yes. Check the release fork, bellcrank, springs, circlips, bearing and mounting hardware for wear or damage.
  • How should compatibility be confirmed? Compare the part number with the existing component and confirm the vehicle model, production year and transmission specification.
