Product Information

OE Match hydraulic power steering pump for selected Porsche 957 and 958 Cayenne 3.0L Diesel models. It supplies pressurised fluid to the steering system to provide assisted steering input.

Fits:
Porsche 957 Cayenne 3.0 Diesel 2007-10
Porsche 958 Cayenne 3.0 Diesel 2012-18 (I0AB / I0AC)
  * I0AB - cars with anti-roll bar, front and rear
  * I0AC - cars with anti-roll bar, active body control (pdcc)

What This Product Does

The pump circulates and pressurises hydraulic fluid within the power steering system, reducing the effort required to turn the steering wheel. Correct pump operation also supports consistent hydraulic assistance throughout steering movement.

Functions

  • Generates hydraulic pressure for steering assistance
  • Circulates fluid through the steering system
  • Supports smooth and consistent steering effort
  • Supplies the hydraulic steering rack during operation

Symptoms of Fault

  • Whining or groaning while turning
  • Heavy or inconsistent steering assistance
  • Hydraulic fluid leaking around the pump
  • Foaming or aeration in the fluid reservoir
  • Vibration or unusual noise from the pump area
  • Intermittent loss of steering assistance

Why Replacement Matters

A worn or leaking pump may no longer maintain adequate hydraulic pressure, resulting in increased steering effort and noise. Before replacement, check the fluid level, drive belt, reservoir, hoses and connections because low fluid, air ingress or belt slip can produce similar symptoms. Flush contaminated fluid and inspect associated seals and hoses during installation to reduce the risk of repeat problems.

FAQs

  • Is pump failure always responsible for steering noise?
No. Low fluid, a worn drive belt, air entering through a hose or a restricted reservoir can cause similar symptoms.
  • Should the steering system be flushed?
A flush is advisable when the old fluid is dirty or contains contamination. Use the correct fluid specification for the vehicle.
  • How should compatibility be confirmed?
Cross-check the reference number, model year, engine and applicable I0AB or I0AC equipment code before ordering.
