Why Replace This Part?
Door window slot seals are exposed to sunlight, rain, temperature changes, dirt, window movement and age-related rubber deterioration. Over time, the rubber can harden, crack, shrink, split or lose its sealing edge. A worn seal may allow water and debris into the door cavity or make the exterior door trim look aged and unfinished.

Replacing the seal with a Genuine Porsche door window slot seal helps restore the correct factory appearance and weather protection around the door glass.

Common Symptoms of a Worn Window Slot Seal
•   Cracked, hardened or perished rubber
•   Shrinking or lifting at the seal ends
•   Water entering the door cavity
•   Dirt or debris collecting inside the door
•   Poor window sealing
•   Wind noise around the door glass
•   Seal damaged during door or glass repair
•   Exterior door trim looking worn or incomplete

When to Replace This Part
•   During door glass or window regulator service
•   During door seal replacement or body restoration
•   If the original seal is cracked, brittle, split or missing
•   If water ingress is found around the door window slot
•   When repainting or rebuilding the door
•   During Porsche 964 Speedster restoration
•   If the seal no longer sits correctly against the glass.

Where It Fits on the Car
This seal fits along the door window slot / outer door glass opening on the Porsche 964 Speedster. It sits at the base of the side window where the glass lowers into the door.

Correct alignment is important to ensure the seal follows the window opening cleanly and sits flush against the glass and door.
