What Does the Heater Box Drain Hose Do?

The heater box drain hose plays an important role in the operation of the air-cooled Porsche heating system.

Its functions include:

• Draining condensation and moisture from the heater box.
• Helping prevent water from collecting inside the heating system.
• Protecting the heater box and surrounding bodywork from corrosion.
• Reducing the risk of trapped moisture causing rust or deterioration.
• Maintaining efficient operation of the heating and ventilation system.

Although often overlooked, this simple hose helps preserve both the heating system and the surrounding chassis.

Why Does the Heater Box Drain Hose Fail?

The original drain hose is continually exposed to heat, moisture, road debris and age, causing the rubber material to deteriorate over time.

Electric Air Conditioning Kit Compressor and Condenser Half Kit for Porsche 911

The Electrocooler 'half system' allows existing AC cars to use our electric compressor and modern condenser with the existing evaporator blower mounted in the smuggler's box. 

Fits Porsche 911 models 1965 to 1989 with factory/dealer fitted AC. 

If your factory or dealer fitted evaporator / blower is in good condition but your compressor and hoses are tired, this is the kit for you.  The kit contains compressor and mounts for fitment ahead of the fuel tank.  The new condenser can be fitted in place of the washer bottle on 74 onwards cars.  Early cars can mount the condenser in the rear wheel well.  Complete new set of hoses and all wiring are included.

This is a 'half system' AC system to be used with the factory evaporator/blower.
