Porsche 911 T 2.2 Coupe 1971 (Design911 Project Car)

The specialists at the Design911 workshops maintain all Porsche Classic air cooled models, from the classic 356 thorough to the iconic Posche 993. If you are interested in repair work for the later water cooled models of Porsche 996, Boxster, Cayman, 997, 991 Cayenne, Panamera, Macan or Carrera GT. Our specialists will be happy to provide tailored advice about any Porsche model.

All work on your vehicle is carried out in accordance with our exacting standards regarding the quality and the genuine character of the components used, while being meticulously documented at every step of the process. With any complete restoration, you will receive a folder featuring hundreds of images from the stay to the finish of the project. Our goal is to retain the authenticity of your Porsche. This involves finding and maintaining a careful balance between the use of original specialist tools, body frame gauges and data sheets, along with the application of newer, high-tech processes; these include underbody corrosion protection, and our in-house bespoke upholstery workshop.

Once our specialists have removed the worst corrosion from the bodyshell, they open the cavities; a necessary step in preparation for the pain to be removed. The frame is then precisely aligned on the specially made jig. With the use of frame gauges for the doors and windows which reference original production drawings, the mechanics are able to align the body. If necessary they can meticulously reshape any deformed areas. The trial fit that follows is a very lengthy progress, with every gauge and dimension checked for accuracy.
