Modifying 911s isn’t anything new. The car has sold in the millions, so there is going to be some out there with modifications, whether these are small or large. But there is a few companies out there that take it to the next level, and this is one of them.
Singer is a company that takes a 911 and backdates it, this means they take a 964, and make it look like an older 911 model. But this isn’t the main focus of what they do. They strip the car down to bear metal and repaint the car in whatever shade the customer desires. This is the same with the wheels, the customer can choose whatever shade they wish.
The interior is where the singer has earned its name. The full cabin is wrapped in leather, and not cheap leather. There is said to be $100,000+ in leather on the inside of a singer. And this is leather that the customer can choose, they can have any colour and any combination, a luxury Porsche certainly doesn’t offer.
Singer also tinkered with the performance. The car has been fitted with a 4.0 litre powerplant which makes 400HP. This number is insane, as the car is mainly made of carbon fibre, meaning the car weighs 200KG less than the 964 C2 the car started life as.
