Here at Design 911, we’re big fans of OE Match – and so are our customers. We are always recommending their products on our blogs, socials and website. But who are OE Match, what do they do, and why should you choose OE Match over other options?
First things first.
Like Porsche itself, OE Match is a unique brand focused on driving excellence and engineering perfection. It’s a symbiotic relationship that keeps Porsches where they belong – on the road and track. OE Match Classic are dedicated remanufacturers, making the parts that Porsche no longer make or service for owners unwilling to compromise on pattern parts for original cars.

Matchmakers!
So, what do OE Classic Match manufacture for Porsche owners? Well, everything from gaskets to suspension hardware, engine parts, and interior trim. That’s nearly 3,500 individual part numbers, more than 8,000 OE cross-references catalogued, and over 100 products currently in the engineering phase. Just as Porsche are always evolving their range, OE Match constantly develop new lines to help keep every new model on the road for years to come.
For every problem, an OE Match solution.
Forget ‘no longer available’. Name your model – the 356, 914, 944, 928, the latest 911’s – and OE Match either make what you need already or plan to add it to their manufacturing menu. And they keep an enviable residual stock of several thousand automotive parts in their dynamic, state of the art storage facility. Everything’s on hand.
Such as?
This engine mount is compatible with every Porsche 996 manufactured between 1997-05, while this model fits the Porsche 997 Gen 1 and Mark 2s. Similarly, if the 997 C4 or C4S is your car of choice, and you want to maintain the firmness of that ride, shock absorbers are the key here and these top supporting mounts are part of the ride profile. Need the same product for a 993? OE Match and Design911 has you covered.

If you’re lucky enough to be rolling a 911 built any time between 1965-94 or a 964 of the late eighties and early nineties vintage, remember that worn rocker arms cost engine power. You don’t want that. What you do want is these heavy duty 930 rockers. Similarly, the OE Match offer this wishbone control arm with integrated lower ball joint for many models of the Porsche 986 and 996. It’s the newer, slim design. Whether yours is a LH or RHD model, the same list is your go-to guide should you need to replace your window lift cable.

Rack ‘em up…
Drivers of Porsche Boxster 986s, or Porsche 996s built between 1997-04 probably don’t give their steering rack too much thought. So that’s why we’re here to help. If you’re planning work on your car, ask your mechanic to fit these steel replacement pipes for a RHD steering rack.
Similarly, the ignition coil isn’t top of anyone’s ‘most desirable mods’ list, but without this little guy doing what it does, then you’re going nowhere. Make sure you fit the best available and OE Match is a prestige brand. This fits multiple Porsche models, including the 1984-9 vintage Porsche 911, alongside the 924S, 944, 964, 968 and 928.

PDK OK at D911.
At the time of its commercial release in 2008, the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, or PDK transmission was one of the more outstanding innovations from the Stuttgart design team.
Created for motorsports in the early 80s and loosely translated as “Porsche double-clutch transmission”, it’s two gearboxes in one, where hydraulically actuated wet-clutch packs lubricate the transmission parts and alternate power to the engine via two separate driveshafts.
Technology like this cannot be allowed to run dry and if there’s any suspicion that your oil pan may need replacing, take no chances. It fits multiple Porsche models – check the list here.

Damping? Dampening? Deadening?
The sound of the Porsche engine running at full chat is one for the purists. No-one buys a Porsche to pootle around in a deliberately understated way. But sometimes that distinctive engine note is overly intrusive and the vibration a little too much.
Engine vibration in the metal engine bay can translate as noise – think of boinging a metal ruler on the edge of a desk – and there are multiple methodologies that can mitigate that. This engine bay soundproofing mat fits every Porsche 911 and 912 made between 1965-89.

Nuts and bolts.
When the ‘wheels come off’ something, it’s often a metaphor for a catastrophe. When it’s a real-world situation, and applied in the motoring context, it’s no longer a metaphor but a description and bad news for the driver of any car, let alone something as high-performance as a Porsche. This standard size wheel bolt and these nuts fit most models, including the 991.1, 991.2 and 992 Porsches; the 996 and 997, the 986, 981 and 987 Boxster and 987C Cayman.
