Brake Booster for 911 G Models, 964 & 993
The brakes of the Porsche 911 – for more than 5 decades, they have stood for enormous deceleration values and exemplary stability. The reason for this is simple: Across all generations, the 911 has also been developed with a view towards use in a racing environment. With this in mind, today as before, the 911 needs a high-performance brake system that the driver can always rely on even under the toughest conditions. However, in order to ensure that it functions flawlessly, each brake system must be equipped with components that are in perfect working order. The brake discs, brake pads, brake callipers, brake master cylinder and brake boosters must be in perfect condition.
But sometimes the ravages of time still take their toll on these components. For example, on the brake boosters, the rubber membrane can suffer from ageing related defects and the housing made from sheet steel can become corroded and even start leaking in the worst case scenario if the required maintenance work is not carried out. In both of these cases, the brake booster needs to be replaced. Porsche classic has now re-issued this safety-critical component and is having it reconstructed by the original supplier, using some newly manufactured tools. In addition to a comprehensive testing process, the engineers at the Weissach development centre also carried out test runs before the component received the official Porsche approval. The component, which is manufactured in the usual Porsche Genuine Parts quality, is available for the following models.
