There have been a few legendary cars to come from Porsche. Cars that stand above the rest. And this car is one of the most legendary to ever to exist, this being the Carrera GT.
The car was rather unexpected, no-one thought Porsche would make a car that was powered by a racing V10 which would be paired with a manual transmission. And this legendary combo is one of the main reasons it held this pedigreed over all of these years.

This Carrera GT is finished in the most legendary combo to appear on the car also, GT silver over ascot leather. This was the first car to wear this GT silver paintwork, a colour that has since appeared on every 911 since. The interior, ascot leather, is a leather that has also appeared on several 911s. Through Porsche’s Exclusive manufaktur program, where it can cost upwards of 50k. Carrera GTs in this combo are perhaps the cheapest in the market, as they are by far the most common, but this doesn’t mean that car isn’t stunning, and will go down in history as one of the most legendary cars from the brand.

The car came from an era where Porsche was in some trouble, financially. The 996 had a lot of parts from the previous 993 and its styling was rather controversial. So, when the brand came out with this, it rocked the world. And it continues to 17 years later.
