Porsche Macan Turbo Makes its Return

By Tom on Thursday, August 29, 2019

The Macan Turbo has lost its 3.6 litre twin-turbo V6 engine and swapped in a 2.6 litre twin-turbo V6. It is the same hot-vee engine that is utilised by the Panamera, Cayenne & Audi RS4. Despite having over half a litre less capacity power has climbed from just under 400bhp to 434bhp. Meaning that 62mph can be achieved in 4.3 seconds (0.3 faster), with assistance from launch control & the optional Sport Chrono pack.

The brakes have been upgraded at no additional cost, they’re steel rotors coated with tungsten carbide which reduces wear, improves stopping distance and apparently reduces brake dust significantly, to keep your Porsche alloys looking smart.

The new version can be identified by the redesigned front air-intakes and a double roof spoiler.

The Macan being Porsches ‘entry-level’ SUV makes this the cheapest new Porsche to have ‘Turbo’ in its name. It will be available for the price of £68,530.
