The new Porsche Panamera details:

Porsche has estimated the production to 20,000 cars per year. First to be released are 4,8L V8 S version (405HP) and Turbocharged (520HP). Later on, Porsche is going to release 3.6L V6 (300HP) and Hybrid engine option (350HP). New Porsche Panamera comes with PDK Double clutch gearbox as standard. There are a rumor about the engine, it says that V10 engine from Porsche Carrera GT may be offered as well as the V12 diesel from Audi Q7.

The name Panamera is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race. It is a successor of Porsche 989 (early 1990’s) concept car which never went into production.
