High-quality STABILUS front bonnet damper / gas strut for the Porsche Macan Electric Type 95C from 2024 onwards.

Designed to support the front bonnet smoothly and securely when opened, the STABILUS 315305 LIFT-O-MAT provides a direct replacement for Porsche OE references 95C823359A and 95C823359B. STABILUS is a leading original-equipment manufacturer and supplier of gas springs, dampers and motion-control systems to the automotive industry.

The LIFT-O-MAT range is engineered to provide controlled, dependable opening assistance and reliable support throughout the service life of the component. The same bonnet damper is suitable for installation on either the left-hand or right-hand side of the vehicle.

Please note: This product is sold individually. Two dampers are required per vehicle.


Why Replace Worn Bonnet Dampers?

Bonnet gas struts gradually lose pressure as they age. Common signs of worn bonnet dampers include:
•   Bonnet no longer remaining fully open
•   Bonnet slowly dropping after opening
•   Increased effort required to raise the bonnet
•   Uneven support between the left and right sides
•   Weak or inconsistent lifting assistance
•   Visible damage or oil leakage from the gas strut.

Replacing weak dampers restores controlled opening and helps keep the bonnet securely supported during inspection, servicing or access to the front luggage compartment.

STABILUS LIFT-O-MAT Technology

The STABILUS LIFT-O-MAT is a gas spring designed to provide controlled lifting and support for vehicle panels such as bonnets and tailgates. Pressurised gas inside the damper provides the extension force required to assist bonnet movement and hold it securely in the open position. The 315305 is rated at 330N, providing the specified support force for the Porsche Macan Electric front bonnet application.

Recommended Replacement

Because two dampers work together to support the bonnet, differences in gas pressure between an old and new damper can result in uneven operation. For this reason, replacing bonnet dampers as a pair is generally recommended where both original units have been in service for the same period.
