Diagram ref no 9

The rear suspension track rod controls rear wheel alignment and suspension movement during driving. It helps maintain chassis stability, steering precision, and balanced handling while reducing unwanted suspension movement and uneven tyre wear.

Function
•  Maintains correct rear suspension geometry and toe alignment
•  Controls rear wheel movement during suspension travel
•  Supports stable handling and chassis balance
•  Absorbs suspension and cornering loads
•  Helps reduce uneven tyre wear and rear axle instability

Over time, rear suspension track rods and their bushings can wear due to continuous suspension movement, road impact, and vibration. A worn or damaged track rod may cause unstable handling, rear suspension noise, poor alignment, uneven tyre wear, or imprecise chassis response. Replacing worn suspension arms restores factory handling characteristics and improves rear axle stability.

When to replace
  Uneven rear tyre wear
Rear suspension clunking or knocking noises
  Unstable handling or rear-end movement
Incorrect wheel alignment or toe settings
  Worn or cracked suspension bushings
During rear suspension rebuild or accident repair
