Soft window restoration kit for Porsche 911 Targa models 1967-1968. This is a gorgeous, OEM specification rear window section suitable for cars originally equipped with the soft window or conversions.

Our soft window restoration kit is among the best available for originality and fit. We use the original German materials that exactly match Stüttgart factory specifications; "Deep grain" vinyl, scratch resistant DOT approved window plastic, YKK heavy duty zippers and high resistance yarns. All materials are precision cut, pressure glued, form-stitched and edge bound to guarantee a factory authentic fit.

A lot of '67-'68 Targa models were converted to glass rear window in later years. Our kit can be used to convert cars back to soft window specification. Hardware needed for such conversion including handles, handle receivers, tensioning bows, seals and tenax buttons are not included in this kit.

The kit comes with step-by-step installation instructions and pictures. Installation requires no specific tools and is within the ability of a moderately experienced home mechanic.

What This Product Does:

• Holds pieces of the Targa roof frame / soft convertable top in place in the front section. Might secure the front roof bow / header, or latches, or fittings where the soft top attaches to the front windscreen frame or roof frame.
• Ensures proper alignment, tight fit, and helps maintain weather sealing — keeping the roof secure and minimizing leaks or flapping.
• The black finish helps conceal it visually and protect the bolt from the elements (rain, moisture, UV) especially important in roof frame areas exposed to weather.
