Product Information
Alloy floor board is designed specifically for the passenger-side footwell area of early Porsche 911 Targa (1969-1983, left-hand-drive). It replaces the original pedal-floor board under the glove compartment and foot-rest area.

Fits:
Porsche from 1969–1983 with LHD (Left-Hand drive)

The board is designed for direct fitment into the factory mounting positions, retaining correct cut-outs for pedals, carpet interface and trim anchorage. Suitable for restoration, upgrade or replacement applications where the original floor board is corroded, bent or missing.

•  Function: Replaces the floor panel under the passenger side footwell / pedal area for restoration or replacement
•  Position: Interior – passenger’s footwell / under glovebox area
•  Benefits: Lightweight, improved rigidity, corrosion resistant, accurate fit
•  Installation: Notes Remove old board, fit to factory mounting points, secure with original or new fixings; ensure trim and carpet integration

Over time, the original passenger floor board in a classic Porsche 911 can suffer from corrosion, dents, damaged mounting tabs or structural fatigue — especially in footwell areas exposed to moisture, foot traffic or trim removal. A compromised floor board can affect carpet fitment, pedal alignment or interior appearance.

Replace this part when:
•  The original board is rust-affected, bent, cracked or missing
•  You’re performing a restoration or interior refurbishment of your Porsche 911 Targa
•  You want to upgrade to lightweight, rigid aluminium construction for improved durability and finish

By installing the alloy floor board, you restore the correct structural support, improve interior aesthetics, and ensure your classic Targa retains its factory-intended fit and finish.

Reproduction Pedal Floor Board For LHD Coupe Cars With Fixings.
The OE Match Reproduction Pedal Floor Board for LHD Coupe Cars with Fixings is a premium-quality replacement interior floor panel designed to restore the original pedal area of compatible left-hand drive Porsche Coupe models. Manufactured to OE specifications for fit, profile and durability, this reproduction pedal floor board provides the correct support beneath the pedal assembly while preserving the authentic factory appearance of the driver's footwell.

Fits:
  • Porsche 911 1965-1968 2.0L / 912 SWB (F)
  • Porsche 911 1968-1973 2.2L / 2.4L / 2.7L RS LWB (F)

Manufactured from high-quality automotive-grade board material with a durable protective finish, the floor board is precision-cut and formed to replicate the original Porsche design. Supplied complete with the required fixings, it allows straightforward OE-style installation using the original mounting locations. Designed to withstand continual pedal operation, foot traffic, vibration and temperature fluctuations, it is the ideal replacement for deteriorated, damaged or moisture-affected original floor boards during restoration or refurbishment.

What This Product Does:
  • Provides structural support beneath the pedal assembly.
  • Restores the original appearance of the driver's footwell.
  • Maintains correct positioning of the pedal area components.
  • Supports the installation of carpets and floor mats.
  • Helps protect the underlying floor pan.
  • Includes the necessary fixings for installation.
  • Provides factory-style fitment for left-hand drive Coupe models.
  • Forms an essential part of the vehicle's interior floor assembly.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
  • Cracked, broken or weakened board.
  • Soft or sagging pedal area.
  • Water damage or swelling.
  • Delaminated or deteriorated board material.
  • Loose or poorly fitting floor board.
  • Missing or damaged mounting fixings.
  • Excessive movement beneath the pedals.
  • Difficulty securing carpets or floor mats.
  • Cosmetic deterioration of the driver's footwell.
  • Reduced originality during restoration.

Why Replacement Matters:

  • The pedal floor board is exposed to constant foot pressure, moisture, dirt and vibration throughout the life of the vehicle. Over time, the original material can deteriorate, crack or absorb moisture, reducing its structural strength and affecting the appearance and functionality of the driver's footwell.
  • A damaged floor board can allow excessive movement beneath the pedals, reduce support for carpets and interior trim, and leave the underlying floor pan more vulnerable to moisture and corrosion. Missing or damaged fixings can also result in movement, rattles and poor installation quality.
  • Replacing a worn or damaged pedal floor board restores the original support, fit and appearance of the driver's footwell. The OE Match reproduction is supplied complete with the correct fixings and offers factory-style fitment, premium-quality construction and long-lasting durability, making it the ideal solution for Porsche restoration, repair and preventative maintenance.

  • Provides a stable support panel around the pedal assembly.
  • Maintains the correct layout of the driver's footwell.
  • Supports factory-style carpet and pedal area fitment.
  • Protects underlying bodywork and pedal mechanisms.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
  • Cracked, warped or broken floor board.
  • Soft or weakened panel around the pedals.
  • Loose or poorly fitting carpet in the pedal area.
  • Excessive movement under foot pressure.
  • Water damage or deterioration from moisture.
  • Missing or damaged sections around the pedal assembly.
  • Difficulty securing the floor board correctly.
  • Increased rattles or movement within the footwell.
  • Cosmetic deterioration affecting the interior.
  • Reduced originality during restoration.

Why Replacement Matters:

  • The pedal floor board is continually exposed to foot traffic, moisture, vibration and general wear throughout the vehicle's life. Over time, the original board can warp, crack or deteriorate due to age or water ingress, reducing its structural integrity and affecting the fitment of surrounding interior components.
  • A damaged floor board can result in an unstable driving position, poor carpet support and an untidy appearance within the driver's footwell. During restoration, replacing worn floor boards is essential to achieve factory-correct fitment and ensure long-term durability of the interior.
  • Replacing the pedal floor board restores the original structure, appearance and functionality of the driver's footwell. The OE Match reproduction provides factory-style fitment, high-quality construction and authentic dimensions, making it the ideal solution for Porsche restoration, repair and interior refurbishment.

About Floor Boards LHD Cars

Porsche LHD Floor Boards | Design911 Pedal Cluster Components for Performance and Protection

Floor boards within the pedal cluster are essential to the driving ergonomics, safety, and durability of your Porsche’s interior — especially in left-hand drive (LHD) configurations. These panels provide a rigid foundation beneath the pedals, supporting consistent pedal operation, protecting floor panels, and ensuring driver stability under high-performance conditions. Whether you’re restoring a classic Porsche or maintaining a track-ready machine, quality floor boards are key to maintaining control and comfort behind the wheel.

At Design911, we offer a premium selection of LHD floor boards, footwell panels, and pedal cluster supports designed for precise fitment and long-term resilience. Manufactured from lightweight aluminium, durable plywood, or reinforced composites, each board offers excellent rigidity and resistance to heat, moisture, and vibration. Ideal for performance upgrades, interior restoration, or motorsport preparation, these components ensure your Porsche’s pedal area performs perfectly and looks pristine.

What Do Floor Boards Do in the Pedal Cluster?

Floor boards form the structural base beneath the pedals, ensuring accurate alignment, consistent pedal movement, and improved driver ergonomics during all driving conditions.

Core Functions:
• Provide a stable platform for clutch, brake, and accelerator pedals.
• Prevent flexing or distortion of the footwell area.
• Protect the vehicle floor from wear, heat, and fluid exposure.
• Maintain proper pedal alignment for consistent driver feel.
• Add strength and safety to the LHD pedal cluster assembly.

Properly designed floor boards contribute to both comfort and precision — essential for confident driving on road and track.

Why Do Floor Boards Fail or Degrade?

Over years of use, floor boards are exposed to pressure, vibration, and environmental wear, which can lead to structural weakening or corrosion.

Common Causes of Failure Include:
• Moisture absorption leading to warping or delamination.
• Corrosion or cracking in metal or aluminium boards.
• Wear from constant foot pressure and pedal movement.
• Loose or damaged mounting points affecting pedal alignment.
• Heat or fluid exposure from braking and clutch systems.

A deteriorated floor board can cause unsafe pedal angles, uneven travel, or discomfort during driving — making timely replacement essential for performance and safety.

Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche LHD Floor Board?

Replacing your Porsche’s floor board ensures proper pedal geometry, safety, and driver comfort. Upgrading to stronger, lighter materials can also enhance durability and performance.

Key Benefits:
• Restores correct pedal position and smooth operation.
• Protects the footwell from wear, corrosion, and fluid damage.
• Improves driver ergonomics and comfort in LHD configurations.
• Available in aluminium, composite, and precision-cut wood designs.
• Direct-fit for Porsche 911, 944, 968, Cayman, and Boxster LHD models.
• Ideal for restorations, race preparation, and performance tuning.

Design911’s Porsche LHD floor boards are precision-engineered for strength, fit, and style — ensuring lasting performance under every driving condition.

Highlights

• Premium Porsche LHD floor boards and pedal cluster components.
• Available in aluminium, wood, or composite construction.
• Precision-cut for exact fitment and easy installation.
