Alloy floor board is designed specifically for the passenger-side footwell area of early Porsche 911 Targa (1969-1983, left-hand-drive). It replaces the original pedal-floor board under the glove compartment and foot-rest area.

Fits:
Porsche from 1969–1983 with LHD (Left-Hand drive)

The board is designed for direct fitment into the factory mounting positions, retaining correct cut-outs for pedals, carpet interface and trim anchorage. Suitable for restoration, upgrade or replacement applications where the original floor board is corroded, bent or missing.

•  Function: Replaces the floor panel under the passenger side footwell / pedal area for restoration or replacement
•  Position: Interior – passenger’s footwell / under glovebox area
•  Benefits: Lightweight, improved rigidity, corrosion resistant, accurate fit
•  Installation: Notes Remove old board, fit to factory mounting points, secure with original or new fixings; ensure trim and carpet integration

Over time, the original passenger floor board in a classic Porsche 911 can suffer from corrosion, dents, damaged mounting tabs or structural fatigue — especially in footwell areas exposed to moisture, foot traffic or trim removal. A compromised floor board can affect carpet fitment, pedal alignment or interior appearance.

Replace this part when:
•  The original board is rust-affected, bent, cracked or missing
•  You’re performing a restoration or interior refurbishment of your Porsche 911 Targa
•  You want to upgrade to lightweight, rigid aluminium construction for improved durability and finish

By installing the alloy floor board, you restore the correct structural support, improve interior aesthetics, and ensure your classic Targa retains its factory-intended fit and finish.

About Pedals & Parts LHD Cars

Porsche Pedals & Parts (LHD) | Precision Control for Left-Hand Drive Models

Pedals are one of the most vital interfaces between you and your Porsche. Each press of the accelerator, brake, or clutch delivers direct control over performance, responsiveness, and driving comfort. For left-hand drive Porsche models, these components are specially configured to maintain ergonomic accuracy, precise feedback, and seamless operation.

At Design911, we supply high-quality pedals, pedal boxes, and associated components for left-hand drive vehicles. Each part is engineered to meet or exceed original standards, ensuring durability, safety, and smooth functionality under all driving conditions. From full pedal assemblies to bushings, springs, and footrest plates, our range supports both restoration and performance upgrades.

Whether you’re rebuilding a classic air-cooled 911 or maintaining a modern LHD Porsche, our pedal systems deliver precision, reliability, and authentic driver engagement.

What Do Pedals and Their Components Do?

Pedals form the driver’s mechanical link to your Porsche’s engine, braking, and clutch systems — translating subtle foot movements into exact control responses.

Core Functions:

  • The accelerator pedal regulates engine power output.
  • The brake pedal applies hydraulic pressure to slow or stop the vehicle.
  • The clutch pedal disengages the transmission during gear changes.
  • Pedal springs, bushings, and pivots ensure responsive, consistent operation.
  • Footrests and covers enhance comfort and stability while driving.

Properly functioning pedals are essential for performance precision, braking efficiency, and overall driving safety.

Why Do Pedals and Components Fail or Wear Out?

Even with high-quality engineering, pedal systems undergo constant use, leading to mechanical fatigue and wear over time.

Common Causes of Failure Include:

  • Worn pedal bushings or pivot points causing slack or squeaks.
  • Corroded or bent pedal arms from prolonged use or moisture.
  • Weak return springs reducing pedal responsiveness.
  • Damaged or slippery pedal covers compromising grip.
  • Misalignment or mechanical wear from heavy clutch or brake use.

When these components degrade, drivers may experience stiffness, inconsistent pedal feel, or reduced control precision — impacting both comfort and performance.

Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche LHD Pedal Assembly?

Replacing or refurbishing worn pedal parts restores precise control and enhances safety. Upgrading to performance pedals or adjustable setups can also refine your driving ergonomics and responsiveness, particularly for motorsport or spirited driving.

Key Benefits:

  • Restores accurate pedal travel and consistent feedback.
  • Eliminates looseness, squeaks, or stiffness.
  • Improves comfort and safety during long drives or track use.
  • Offers custom finishes including aluminium, rubber, and stainless steel.
  • Compatible with Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayman, Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne LHD models.
  • Ideal for restorations, upgrades, or replacements.

High-quality LHD pedal components ensure your Porsche retains its signature feel — precise, responsive, and built for performance.
