DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements. The 996/997 harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking. Our bars are easy to install and remove, use only existing holes and mounting points, and will not damage the car in any way.
Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts. A mount really can't be relied on unless it has been tested to support the loads required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

This harness mount was developed in response to customer requests for a truss-style harness mount for the Porsche 996/997 coupe. The new R-1035 features water-jet machined aluminium construction much like our R-1025 harness truss. Like all Brey-Krause harness mounts, the R-1035 uses only existing mounting points. No drilling, welding or fabrication is required for installation. Once installed, the main portion can be unbolted in ten minutes, allowing use of the rear seats.

Engineered to extend the protection of Brey-Krause harness mount bars to the back of your seat, the seat support assembly is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with a ½" thick layer of high density foam. The foam firmly cushions the back of the seat against the support assembly. This seat brace is designed for conventional factory reclining seats. The R-9020 seat brace is recommended for cars with one-piece racing seats.

Capitalize on Brey-Krause's innovative engineering with this race seat mounting option for 996/997/986/987/Cayman Porsches.
The R-9044 offers a simple installation process combined with significant adjustment flexibility. The assembly mounts to the floor and places the seat in the lowest possible position. The integrated sub-bar is adjustable for proper 5 or 6-point sub-strap routings. This design also incorporates three front-to-rear fixed mounting points for the seat brackets (brackets not included - see BK R-907X series brackets).
The entire assembly (including race seat) can be easily installed and removed as a single unit for race events.
