What This Product Does

This O-ring forms a seal at its specified air-conditioning connection, helping contain refrigerant within the circuit. It is a sealing component, not a condenser or receiver-drier assembly.

Technical Details

  • Brand: OE Match.
  • Part reference: 99970755741.
  • Supplied size designation: 11.00 x 2.50 NX.
  • Diagram descriptions also identify the dimensions as 11 x 2.5.
  • Recorded installation quantities: three in the applicable 991.1 and 991 Turbo diagrams; four in the second-generation 991 Turbo / GT2 RS underbody diagram. These are assembly requirements, not pack contents.

Symptoms of Fault

Declining cooling effectiveness or traces of oil or leak-detection dye around a connection can indicate refrigerant leakage. Similar symptoms can originate elsewhere, so identify the leaking joint before choosing replacement parts.

Why Replacement Matters

Renewing a defective connection seal addresses a potential escape path for refrigerant. Check the adjoining pipework and sealing surfaces as part of the repair; changing an O-ring will not correct damage elsewhere in the circuit.

FAQs

Does weak cooling always mean this seal has failed?
No. Condenser damage, other leaking connections and unrelated air-conditioning faults can produce similar symptoms.

Is this supplied as a set?
No. Each O-ring is supplied individually; confirm the number needed for the connections being repaired.

Who should carry out the work?
Use an appropriately qualified air-conditioning technician for work involving refrigerant.

What This Product Does

The condenser transfers heat from pressurised refrigerant into the passing air, allowing the refrigerant to condense into liquid. It belongs to the air conditioning circuit rather than the engine coolant circuit.

Functions

  • Releases heat carried by the refrigerant.
  • Enables refrigerant condensation within the A/C cycle.
  • Supports cabin cooling as part of the complete system.

Technical Details

  • Condenser reference in the supplied diagrams: 99157311106.
  • Installation position: front, left or right.
  • The referenced assemblies show two condensers per vehicle; this listing is for one.

Symptoms of Fault

  • Vent air remains warm or cooling gradually diminishes.
  • Oily deposits appear around the condenser or its connections.
  • Visible fin deterioration, impact damage or corrosion.
  • Debris obstructs airflow through the condenser.

These signs warrant inspection but do not, by themselves, establish that the condenser needs replacing.

Why Replacement Matters

A leaking or damaged condenser can prevent the refrigerant circuit from operating correctly. Replacement addresses the defective component rather than relying on repeated refrigerant top-ups. Inspect adjoining pipe connections, seals and air guides during the repair. OE Match focuses on Porsche replacement applications, using original references and fitment checks when specifying components.

FAQs

Will another regas resolve weak cooling?
Not if refrigerant is escaping. Locate and repair any leak before recharging.

Should the receiver-drier also be checked?
Yes. Have the technician assess its replacement requirements when opening the refrigerant circuit; it is a separate component from this condenser.

Can cleaning avoid replacement?
Removing external debris may improve airflow, but cleaning cannot repair perforations or leaking joints.

Who should install it?
Use an appropriately qualified air conditioning technician for refrigerant recovery, installation, leak testing and recharging.

What This Product Does

The condenser receives hot, high-pressure refrigerant from the compressor and releases its heat through the cooling fins. This changes the refrigerant from a gas into a liquid before it continues through the air conditioning system.

Functions

  • Releases heat carried by the refrigerant
  • Condenses high-pressure refrigerant gas into liquid
  • Supports consistent cabin cooling
  • Maintains the required refrigerant flow through the A/C circuit

Technical Details

  • Product type: air conditioning condenser
  • Porsche part number: 99757391105
  • Brand: genuine Porsche
  • Diagram quantity: two condensers per listed assembly

The condenser appears in Porsche refrigerant-circuit and front water-cooling diagrams for the 996, 997, 987 Boxster and 987C Cayman. The 996 diagram data includes the production note 02- and C4S application.

Symptoms of Fault

  • Gradual reduction in air conditioning performance
  • Warm or inconsistently cooled air from the vents
  • Visible corrosion, bent fins or impact damage
  • Oily residue or leak-detection dye around the condenser
  • Refrigerant loss after the system has been recharged
  • Restricted airflow caused by debris between the cooling fins

Why Replacement Matters

Condensers are positioned at the front of the vehicle, where moisture, road salt, debris and stone impacts can cause corrosion or leaks. Replacing a damaged or leaking unit helps restore correct refrigerant circulation and heat transfer. The system should be leak-tested and evacuated before being refilled, and the condition of the desiccator, seals and connected refrigerant lines should also be checked.

FAQs

  • Can a condenser be cleaned? External debris may be removed carefully, but a leaking, heavily corroded or physically damaged condenser requires replacement.
  • Should the desiccator also be renewed? Replacement is normally recommended when the refrigerant circuit has been open or contaminated.
  • Is a vacuum test required? The repaired circuit should be evacuated and checked for leak tightness before the correct refrigerant charge is added.

Check fitment for your specific vehicle, including model, year and engine, before ordering.

Diagram Ref No 12

Air conditioning systems operate under pressure and depend on correctly sized, serviceable seals at their connections. Even a small or inexpensive O-ring can be critical to maintaining system integrity and reliable A/C performance.

What This Product Does:

The A/C O-ring seals the joint between compatible air conditioning pipes, hoses and components.

When the connection is assembled, the O-ring is compressed between the mating surfaces to create a pressure-tight seal. This helps keep refrigerant and circulating compressor lubricant contained within the closed air conditioning circuit.

A correctly functioning O-ring helps:

  • Prevent refrigerant leakage
  • Maintain A/C system pressure
  • Prevent loss of refrigerant oil at the connection
  • Keep moisture and contamination out of the system
  • Support efficient air conditioning operation
  • Maintain a secure seal between connected A/C components

Correct dimensions and material compatibility are especially important in an air conditioning system because the seals are exposed to refrigerant, lubricant, pressure and temperature changes.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Over time, an O-ring can deteriorate through age, heat, chemical exposure and repeated temperature and pressure cycles.

Common signs of a leaking or failed air conditioning O-ring include:

  • Air conditioning gradually losing cooling performance
  • A/C blowing warmer than expected
  • Refrigerant charge repeatedly becoming low
  • Refrigerant leakage detected around a connection
  • Oily residue around an A/C pipe or fitting
  • System unable to maintain pressure
  • O-ring becoming hard or brittle
  • Cracks or splits in the sealing material
  • Flattened or permanently compressed O-ring
  • Cuts, nicks or deformation after removal

A refrigerant leak can be extremely small and may not always be visually obvious. Proper A/C leak-detection and diagnostic equipment may therefore be required to identify the source accurately.

Why Replacement Matters:
The air conditioning system relies on being sealed and correctly charged to operate effectively. A deteriorated O-ring can allow refrigerant to escape gradually, resulting in reduced cooling performance and eventually preventing the A/C system from operating correctly.

Loss of refrigerant can also be accompanied by loss of compressor lubricant from the affected connection. Maintaining the correct refrigerant and lubricant charge is important for dependable system operation.

Replacing a leaking or damaged O-ring helps restore:

  • A secure A/C connectionRefrigerant retention
  • Correct system pressure
  • Reliable cooling performance
  • Protection against moisture and contamination entering the system

Addressing a small seal leak promptly can also prevent repeated refrigerant loss and unnecessary recharging of the system.

About Air con condensers & desiccators

Porsche Air Conditioning Condensers & Desiccators | Efficient Cooling Performance & Climate Control Reliability

The air conditioning condenser and desiccator are essential components of your Porsche’s climate control system. The condenser cools and condenses refrigerant gas into liquid form, while the desiccator (or receiver-dryer) removes moisture and contaminants — ensuring efficient cooling and long-term A/C performance.

At Design911, we supply precision-engineered A/C condensers and desiccators designed to meet or exceed original performance standards. Built with high-efficiency cooling fins and corrosion-resistant materials, these components ensure dependable operation, consistent cabin comfort, and reliable refrigerant flow in all driving conditions.

Whether you’re repairing a leaking condenser or restoring a complete air conditioning system, our Porsche condensers and desiccators deliver the performance, durability, and efficiency expected from premium climate-control components.

What Do Air Conditioning Condensers & Desiccators Do?

Together, these components regulate temperature and protect the A/C system from moisture and contaminants.

Core Functions:

  • Condenser: Converts high-pressure refrigerant gas into liquid by dissipating heat.
  • Desiccator (Receiver-Dryer): Filters refrigerant and removes moisture to prevent internal corrosion or ice formation.
  • Maintains optimal refrigerant pressure and temperature balance.
  • Ensures cold, efficient air output inside the cabin. Protects the compressor and A/C valves from contamination damage.

Without proper cooling and moisture control, the air conditioning system can lose efficiency, leading to poor cooling, corrosion, or compressor failure.

Why Do Condensers & Desiccators Fail or Degrade?

Constant exposure to heat, vibration, and road debris makes condensers and desiccators prone to wear and corrosion. Over time, they can lose effectiveness or develop leaks.

Common Causes of Failure Include:

  • Physical damage from road debris or stone impact.
  • Corrosion from moisture or road salt.
  • Clogged fins or tubes reducing airflow and cooling efficiency.
  • Moisture saturation in the desiccator leading to internal freezing.
  • Age-related wear causing refrigerant leaks or reduced pressure.

When these parts fail, symptoms include reduced cooling performance, A/C warning lights, foggy windows, or compressor noise — clear signs that replacement is required.

Why Replace Your Porsche A/C Condenser & Desiccator?

Replacing worn or leaking A/C components restores efficient cooling, improves air quality, and protects the compressor from costly damage. Upgraded units provide enhanced thermal transfer and durability for consistent year-round comfort.

Key Benefits:

  • Restores full air conditioning performance and reliability.
  • Prevents refrigerant leaks and system contamination.
