What This Product Does:
- The actuator button/lever is the user-interface element on the seat that allows you to release and fold the rear portion of the seat back (or fold the seat backrest forward) so you can access the rear compartment or improve cargo access.
- When you press or actuate it, it triggers the internal latch mechanism in the seat backrest — allowing the backrest to pivot or fold.
- Because it’s styled in Galvano Silver, it also contributes to the interior finish of the seat side panel/trim, so it’s both functional and cosmetic.
- A proper ergonomic and tactile button means the folding backrest function works smoothly, the lever retains feel & finish, and the seat looks as the manufacturer intended.
Symptoms & Signs of Wear / When To Replace:
- The folding backrest function is hard to engage or the lever feels sloppy, wobbly or loose — indicating the mechanism or mounting is worn.
- The finish or surface of the button is scratched, faded, or damaged (especially with the Galvano Silver finish) and the interior aesthetic is compromised.

Brey-Krause's new Cayman Harness Truss is a unique mounting system that helps to position the driver using fixed attachment locations for harness straps. The unit is made of aluminium and stainless steel for superior strength and support, yet it is lighter than tubular or steel bars. It has been tested and certified to meet NHTSA load requirements. The R-1045 is easy to install and remove, utilizing existing factory mounting points.
The lattice is precision water-jet machined. It has been tested and certified to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements.
