If you're serious about how your 996, 997, 986 Boxster, 987 Boxster, 987 Cayman, 991, 981 Boxster and 981 Cayman handles, you should upgrade the factory tie rods with an adjustable bump steer kit. There is one major drawback to the factory tie rods, bump steer. Bump steer results from a tie rod that is angled from the steering rack to the spindle. An angled tie rod end will have a larger horizontal travel distance than the rest of the suspension, compared to a level link. Rennline's adjustable bump steer kits solve this problem. Manufactured from 6061 aluminum and feature a turnbuckle design that allow each arm to be lengthened or shortened as needed to restore proper suspension geometry on a lowered Porsche. A number of spacers are also included and can be added or removed accordingly to get a level tie rod for your vehicles specific ride height. The FK Teflon-lined rod end bearings ensure precision handling and lock in your car’s alignment settings, ensuring predictable cornering under all conditions.

The steering rack of a power-assisted car needs a hydraulic circuit: a pressure line (high pressure) from the power steering pump (or pump + reservoir assembly) to the steering rack, and a return line (low pressure) from the rack back to the reservoir (or pump return side).
