This updated OE part replaces multiple earlier fuel pump versions: 9A791908810 9A791908811 9A791908812 9A7919088A.
These older numbers have been consolidated into PAE919088A, ensuring improved compatibility and updated design.

The fuel pump draws fuel from the tank and delivers it to the engine’s high-pressure fuel system, maintaining a constant supply required for combustion. It ensures stable fuel pressure under all driving conditions, from cold start to high load.

In modern Panamera engines, the in-tank pump works together with the engine-mounted high-pressure pump to support direct fuel injection systems and optimise performance and efficiency.

Functions & Technical Role
•  Fuel delivery: Supplies fuel from the tank to the engine
•  Pressure stability: Maintains consistent low-pressure feed to the high-pressure system
•  Integrated module: Combines pump, sender, and strainer in one assembly
•  Engine performance: Supports smooth running, acceleration, and efficiency
•  OEM precision: Designed to Porsche specifications for correct fit and operation

Fuel pumps operate continuously under demanding conditions. Over time, wear or failure can lead to:
•  Hard starting or no start
  Loss of power or hesitation
Engine stalling Fuel system warning faults

Replacing with a genuine Porsche OE fuel pump restores proper fuel pressure, reliability, and engine performance.

This OE Match Fuel Pump is a high-quality replacement component engineered to meet original Porsche standards for fit, performance, and durability. Installed inside the fuel tank, this electric pump forms a critical part of the fuel delivery system, ensuring a steady and reliable flow of fuel to the engine.

This unit functions as a fuel pump and sender assembly, drawing fuel from the tank and delivering it through the low-pressure system to support efficient engine operation. Designed specifically for modern Porsche Panamera platforms, it ensures consistent fuel supply under varying driving conditions, from everyday use to high-performance demands.

Manufactured from durable, fuel-resistant materials, the pump is built to withstand continuous operation, temperature fluctuations, and fuel system pressures. It is a direct replacement for multiple superseded part numbers, including 9A791908810, 9A791908811, 9A791908812, and 9A7919088A, ensuring broad compatibility across applicable vehicles.

This fuel pump is typically specified for non E-Hybrid models (PR code dependent) and is supplied as a complete in-tank assembly, making installation straightforward and reliable.

Function
Pumps fuel from tank to engine fuel system
Maintains stable fuel pressure and flow
Supports efficient combustion and engine performance
Integrates fuel level sending functionality (depending on model)
Ensures reliable operation under all driving conditions

A failing fuel pump can cause inconsistent fuel delivery, leading to poor engine performance, hesitation, or starting issues. In modern direct injection engines, maintaining a stable fuel supply is essential for efficiency and reliability.

Replacing the fuel pump restores proper fuel system operation, improves drivability, and helps prevent further strain on injectors and other fuel system components.

When to replace:
Engine struggles to start or fails to start
•  Noticeable loss of power or hesitation
•  Engine stalling or irregular fuel delivery
•  Audible fuel pump noise from tank
•  Fault codes related to fuel supply system

Product Information
Hylomar Gasket 3400 is a modified anaerobic curing, flexible sealant designed to become a Formed in Place (FIP) Gasket when cured. The cured compound has good temperature resistance and high resistance to fretting. The cure is initiated when the compound is in contact with metal ions and in anaerobic conditions. The cure rate and final strength is dependent on the metals being joined and the temperature at which the component is used. The heat generated by a running engine will accelerate the cure.

Typical Applications
Hylomar Gasket 3400 can be used as a gasketing compound between machined surfaces. It is ideal for sealing between mating faces on engines and transmission components where resistance to temperature and vibration are essential.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Hylomar Gasket 3400 should be applied to clean and dry surfaces, free of contamination such as oil or grease. The compound may be dispensed by hand from cartridge, concertina pack, or via a screen printing system. Once applied the joint should be assembled as soon as practical. Any excess compound can be easily wiped off external surfaces with a clean cloth soaked in Acetone or other suitable solvents.

 Common Porsche Engine Issues

Porsche engines are robust, but some models face well-known issues that require rebuild or replacement parts:

  • Excessive Engine Smoke – often caused by oil separator failure or oil overfill; a common issue in 996 and 986 models
  • IMS Bearing Failures – particularly affecting certain 996 models; early detection can save an engine, but advanced failure may require a complete rebuild
  • Timing Chain & Belt Problems – worn components can affect performance and cause catastrophic failures if neglected
  • Exhaust Leaks – damaged manifolds or gaskets allow fumes to escape, impacting performance and emissions

While some issues are minor and corrected with a single replacement part, others can escalate into major rebuilds if ignored.

Do I Need to Rebuild My Porsche Engine?

Not every problem requires a full rebuild. Regular oil changes, inspections, and routine servicing can prevent many issues. However, an engine rebuild may be required if:

  • IMS bearing failure has caused internal damage
  • Timing components have failed
  • Major wear or overheating has damaged pistons, valves, or crankshafts
  • You want to restore your engine to factory condition
  • You’re seeking performance gains beyond OEM output

Rebuilds are common across a wide range of Porsches, from air-cooled icons like the 356, 911, and 914s, through to 996, 997 GT3s, and turbocharged models. Whether for restoration or performance, rebuilding can breathe new life into your Porsche.
